  1. Hi K.,

what model did you order??? I am interested in those new released Scuderias with 7750b1.

And what I am really asking myself: is the crown of the rep the same mechanism as the real deal (bayonett closure)???

    Thx for responding,

    Theo

  2. Hi All,

just curious about the new BCE....I saw different threads about this watch with GREY dial and some say GRAPHIT dial....

    QUESTION 1:

is there any difference or are those forumers talking bout the same watch?

    QUESTION 2:

how does this watch wear compared to Pannies (the 44mm versions), bigger, smaller, equal???

    Thx for letting me know,

    Theo

  3. ....the link from jonthebhoy is good....but you have to use paint!

If you just want to age the lume...try this:

Get a 80 WATT lamp used for a reptiles terrarium (pet shops sell those) with high UV portion.....get the dial out and place it under the lamp (about 10-15cm away)...be cautious with the lamp, it´s getting really hot and you have to use a bulp holder made of ceramic (NOOOO plastic!)....after 10-15 hours you should see the lume getting dark.....and take care to look after that dial every 1/2 hour.....to avoid going too far B)

This process will turn your dial vintage.....but also the lume will suffer....so I like the idea of a good vintage repaint way better :D ......if you use a sandwich dial (e.g. a panny-dial) it is much easier to paint....and in addition try some fingernail varnish, let it dry half way and then press on the upper part of the sandwich dial...this will make the numbers and indezees 3-D look-alike.

  4. ...changing the hands is no problem, take 217/127 hands or buy some new ones from DSN.

The thing that will allways scream REEEEPPPPP is the dial color, the gen uses an ash-grey / brown / faded black......I can´t describe but it definetly does NOT look black!

I have the 232 for around 5 months now and it a beautiful piece, the case has got the correct shape and a good screwed back (allthough missing seriel No.) and the BEST (BEST!!!) crystal on a PAM rep I have seen so far (and I saw a lot :p ).

I would recommend this watch......and I hope the factories will come up with an upgraded version of the 232 and the correct 249!

  5. ...got a PAM089 recently.....the case is a bit thicker than in a normal handwound panny....but it is just the bezel that is higher than normal due to the 7750 used.

P.S.: got it from Andrew in a wowza 4 days from CN to EU!

  6. @joujeh

I have that Navitimer World/GMT for some months now, got the white dialed version (looks cleaner allthough the dial is crowded) and wear it on a dark gray leather strap.

The size is 46mm but it does not appear that big, this size fits greatly into the Navitimer design (all others are a tad too small), it wears way smaller than a 47mm FIDDY.

Also the thickness is no problem at all.....actually the caseback seems to "cascade" from the outside to the inside.

Overall this Navi is a stunning piece, I love mine and wear it to "dress-down-business-dates".

For the size......don´t you worry my friend......for the black dial....rethink cause the dial has no AR coating at all and a black dial shows heavy reflections!

    My 0.02$

P.S.:...sorry no wrist shot at hand!

  7. I vote for the SS version...any color will be nice.

I had the yellow one on my wrist before Xmas and have to say it is a very nice watch.

If you are used to 47mm watches this big fella will be no prob.

I would buy a rep of that because its design is unusual and unknown, noone will call you out on it :D

The real deal is about 3.200$ and thats a way too high priced thingy, the little red spot has got NO function and even the crown is NOT screwn down, heh? NOT screw down cron for an U-boat watch?? Hhahaha.

So come along you rep-gods....rep this if you can.

    Just my 0.02$

  8. OK... here's one for the non haters. I don't know if larger watches are a trend like bell bottoms or if they are here to stay but I can't wear anything less than 40mm because it feels and looks like a girls watch to me now. The B&R 46 will gain favor I predict with time. The neocons will continue to hate and those who like something cool and different will eat them up. This is a hot watch for any size wrist. B)

  9. Guys, this is an interesting thread to read....there have to be positive and negative opinions, thats allways the cream on the cake.

I personally like the watch but have to think over and over again, last time I bought a watch that was NO Panny.....I regret it 2 days after paying cause another very interesting watch came out and I have to buy again, damn...don´t wanna have this dilemma again :p

  10. I second TineT´s words......it is for the 5min. marker....just for underwater, dark and with bad light...you´ll see them better.

I for myself pulled the trigger 10 minutes after EL´s mail.....I waited 0.5 years on that modell and I don´t care that it is stainless steel......they will NEVER EVER do a Titanium version!

Hopefully the watch will hit my doorsteps end this week or early next one, will keep you posted.

    Theo

BTW: ... the back enraving says stainless steel, better than Titanium and 220gramms in weight :D
