I really vote for a website-entry-form for newbies......or at leat 100 posts (oops, I have less)....doing a blacklist is fine.......if someone can manage to get off the list if he is doing fine.

I wait for 2 ordered (and paid) watches now for over 7 weeks and only got 2 short messages from the seller.......what do I do?....... I wait untill he comes back to my, no PP complaint...thats the way it should be.

I appriciate your honesty and must say...you are totally correct!

I can do a 6497, vintage dials and hands......but I should have passed the PAM188 with the broken minute-counter-wheel to an expert!

You stated you did a fix in the past.......

...now my question: CAN YOU DO TAHT AGAIN FOR MY WATCH?

I will get the watch back from the watchsmith in the next weeks and am now looking for another solution.

Buying a new 7753 is pricey....(nearly the cost of a total new 188)...a fix would be the best alternative, me thinks.

I am in Germany and I had my customs-contact with my 2nd EL187.

It arrived at Frankfurt airport-customs on 04.07.2006 and was held there for nearly 4 weeks.

After several calls to the international german postal services ("...your package is still at customs office!") I got a letter from the customs office that they had my package under special investigations and they presume a violation of the german trademark laws and they will keep the package, seized it.

I was extremly worried cause they also stated to inform any other involved authorities (in this case Richemont).....I pee´d my pants for at least 1 week and after a holiday break I returned to my office desk to find a letter from the local customs office, stating to bring an invoice and I will get my package....everything went fine, paid a small amount, off I was!

Long say......just ask the buyer to send you the customs letter where custom stated they seized the watch, inspect this letter and maybe you can contact customs and tell them you traded the watch!

Please note, this is a NON-dealer transaction and the buyer always knows about the risk he takes.

On the other hand.....I would act when I have the customs letter in my hands, if the watch is really seized........I´d act as a trusted member of this community.

I sent him an email again, made the offer to just refund the money (if that will be easier)....but no response.

Anyway, I´ll wait and give him all chances to resolve the prob.....somehow this can make his way back to this comunity easier.

Guys, it´s not that Angus took my 500 and off he went...2 weeks after I paid and after he delivered some watches to some other members he dropped me a line saying: "....Dear GT, sorry, sorry...please send pic´s of the watches you want and I will ship asap!"

OK, i did so....mmmh, he forgot what watches I paid for, mmmh he must be in deep deep trouble.

So he did come up with a one-liner, but that message now turns out to be the last thing he did for some weeks now!

Someone here must be in contact with him, please pm me and just give a tiny hint or update on Puretime!

1) first of all I don´t want to blame any dealer for a non-delivery and even for a no-message-policy......as there are trusted dealers (btw....all I made business with were top notch).....there must be a serious reason for not beeing online to drop a short line telling the status!

Noone can ever imagine what those probs can be, hey guys what the dealers do is ILLEGAL we should not forget!!!

2) yes of course it´s nearly 500 hard earned bucks I paid to receive nothing (so far), but it´s also illegal for the buyer....so it is risky to be in this business. I am not saying that I give a [censored] on the money, it is just that I (as a customer) need to have reputation as well....I order a lot of watches, I pay lightning fast......and so I expect a good service.

The very worst moment in my rep-customer-career was the f**king CRAZY SALE; I did not loose my money, it was just a horror 9 weeks wait on a refund and then it turned out as a payment (not a refund...and of course PP took some fees )...please not again.

I am a bit cooler now, calmed down, but it´s still a hard time waiting on a watch to be delivered (...but hey, you guys know that this is the sissling part of our hobby )

Long say......please share your info on ANGUS, if you had contact, if he is fine, when he will be back....

Hopefully they did a real 47mm case and not that 46mm-something thingy.

I will be in for the CaliDial and/or the standard base....just to compare with my other Rad´s (ExWMs Rads all 3 models and the shitty smaller china-molnija) I got.

If HonPo sells for 38k Yen......we will see it in some days popping up for around 300$....and this has to be SWISS Unitas with swan neck!

When theres also a China6497 version available, I go for that cheaper model.......cause I will try to attach a ss-back anyway!

I just posted this thread in the General Discussion (and not in Dealers Review) cause I want to get as many opinions and news as I can get.

Some 5 weeks ago I had my normal monthly contact with Angus, telling him I need 2 of his fine watches (Marina Militare NO crown guard)......just for some nice projects I have in my mind.

He replied as allways saying: "Yes I do have, please send 476$ to my new PPaccount!"

I did so cause Angus allways came through in the last months.

But now as he has some problems I never heard of him. I paid him 10 minutes after his price-info hit my in-box, I am a responsible buyer, I am fast and serious. Now I really don´t know what to do,seems I am the only one waiting on a PureTime watch.

Saw some posts stating Angus has problems (I know), he was seen online these days (got no message), but still have a 1/2-grand-plus on Angus side and a 2-watches-minus on my side.

Guys, I do not want to blame him, I was in trust 2 weeks ago, but now I just fear my money went through the roof and I need all your advice what to do!

- has anyone of you got a message from PureTime recently?

- has anyone of you spoken to Angus?

- does anyone of you know what happened to him?

- can someone inform him that I STILL wait?!

Hi The Zigmeister,

in April I ruined my Valjoux 7753 when trying to install new black subdial hands (posted that).

I went to my local watchsmith who said he will fix the problem by installing a new 30-minute-counter wheel.....he has to took the whole movement into it´s parts....this will cost me around 250$......wow what a pricey rep I will own soon.

Now he has the watch for nearly 3 months and claims he has to wait for a 30-minute-counter-wheel from Richemont because the normal 7753 wheels will not fit! Huh???

I thought the PAM188 SWISS 7753 carrys a normal movement you can source from any part-supplier.

The Zigmeister: is there any chance to get a spare 30-minute-counter-wheel that will fit this Swiss 7753 PAM188 movement...you have definitely had this movement taken apart and maybe you can tell me if he is a dumb-ass or he is correct and the movement is not normal???!!!

I did not tell him that it´s a rep and I fear he just passed the watch on to RICHEMNONT to get it fixed...and they will hold it

I got the point and it is the best reason for wishing a Titanium 194.

Anyway,....it will be easy to do the case in titanium, the supplieres did so with the BAvenger, the PAM036, the PAM192, the IWC GST,...and some more.

Maybe they are just working on the improved datefont and a real saphire AR coating......my a** itches....I can feel it coming

I don´t care if Titanium or SS.....if it is well made with some improvements like

- good AR coat (and I mean ANTI REFLECTING coat) not that color application on the crystal

- bigger date and a good cyclops

I will definetely buy it!

Postal services and customs seams to be extremly slow these days.

I wait on several things......a strap from Canda for 3 weeks after sending, an EL187 for 3 weeks at customs for closer inspection, some watchparts from Davidsen, 2 watches from Angus (who disappeared) and 1 watch from Andrew.......

All items should have arrived yet........but I have to give it some more time!
