  1. Great you noticed Pug.

No, none of us but my wife. She wears her watches on the left hand.

My kids do like the father, that's it.

    And the father ?

When I was say 11 or 12, I wanted to do things like no one else. So I started to wear watches on the rigth wrist.

    Are you lefty ?

It used to be a practicality thing I think because the bracelet or strap hurt the hand when writing. But I think that is becoming a lot less of an issue these days. It is almost to the point where I've forgotten how to write cursively. I am back to second grade with block letters.

  2. The left one cost about E 100,- more and for that money you get an extra 1mm in size..;)

Well of course the more expensive one!

If I might make a suggestion, look at eBay item #110106215028. It is from Swiss Army who as a brand gets no respect whatsoever even though they had a high end line (I think they finally gave up about two years ago). But the damn thing has got a Valjous 7750 in it and the guy will accept $450 for the watch. (He'll take $415 for the leather.) Double AR coat, nice case, nice dial, and perfectly working chrono of course.

I've bought three of them in the past from this seller. They all keep perfect time--off no more than one minute a month. I get them with the metal bracelet and take the bracelet off and put on an Italian rubber band Item #250096516352) and it looks very sharp. I keep the bracelet on the side in case I ever want to sell the one I kept (always a good idea to do that since you get more for the watch if it has a metal bracelet). Gave the other two as gifts and they went over VERY well.

And the price? I don't think you can by an uncased Swiss 7750 movement for that price.

  3. I really think it is hot when my wife or a gal decides to wear a man's watch. Don't know what it is but could be a more public option of when our women wear our dress shirts as nighties etc.

Great pics and keep up the good work.

By the wat Tim, no place to discriminate here. If there are pics of guys and their watches, let 'em fly!! All watch enthusiest welcome!

    Thanks again Sql_pl!

Good god man! You better be staying out of each other's underwear drawer!!

(yikes.... the pictures killed the conversation so I took them out)

  4. I am not sure if you are talking about my previous GF or the current one as you may not be aware of the fact that there was a change in my life some time ago... well a bit over 9 months ago to be clear...

Let me guess, you caught something unmentionable in polite conversation and your naughty bits fell off?

  5. Can we put a sticky in one of the sections, probably dealer review, that informs people what to expect so far as contacting one of the dealers. And maybe what a trypical customer experience is for any given dealer. Maybe we can lead the sticky with the assertion that they would not be recommended dealers on the board if they were going to take your money and run. I am relatively new here, but even to me it is damn annoying to have newbies constantly post that I have not heard from so-and-so dealer and I sent them a message 5 minutes ago.

Then whenever they post these silly questions we can simply refer them to the sticky message and tell them to read.

  6. I don't know what the problem is, other than people have tried to remove the bezel and it isn't easy. In fact, it's so difficult, that alot of people have bent the bezel. If you're trying to change the insert, you might do better to remove the crystal, and then pop off the insert and put the new insert on w/o removing the bezel itself. I'm not aware of anyone sucessfully removing and reinstalling the bezel on these CN 2006 cases (Noobmariner, Beginmariner, Paul's Perfect, EL's...). If someone figures it out, it would be nice to see a tutorial!

Read about this problem in another thread. Just curious, has anyone tried a bezel remover tool on these buggers yet? Just wondering if the proper tool is any more successful than just a case knife.

  7. i think its just as good as any at the price range , the only much better ones r watchmasters and mbw ones they coast over double that imho for the money and u r not overly picky they r not so bad

    hope this helps

    joe

Who is "watchmasters" and who is carrying MBWs these days? I see the MBW reference a lot but never see any of our mainline dealers offering an MBW version.

  8. The Zigmeisters Lemania review The "Lemania" is considered to be a good movement.

I have a 6263 replica powered by the Lemaina, Venus 175 copy. It is a very very nice watch. Feels solid and sits lower on the wrist than the 7750 powered watches. Also, it is very smooth to wind. Recommended! :)

I have frozen the subdial@6 on mine. It is almost easy to do.. :p

Why did you freeze the subdial? I thought that was only necessary on the models with the mangled asian valjoux.

  9. Also easier when you remove the bracelet or strap and attack it in the area between the lugs. I didn't remove the bracelet the first time I took off a bezel and put a nice scratch on the bracelet. A blunt knife might be a good try, I use a case knife and it is always a precarious line between getting the bezel off, scratching the hell out of a watch, or slicing your finger. Someday I am going to buy a bezel removing tool but they are expensive and I don't have to to remove one that often.

Dremel tool is handy for any f*ck-ups.
