I've got this old Sandoz with an ETA 2824-2 and I'm trying to remove the movement but when I try to unscrew the screws you see red rounded, the turn half way to right and half way to left. Am I doing the right thing or i should go in a different way? Thanks for your help!

The Zigmeister... no way to PM you... maybe I'm in the black list?

Let me just add one more vote: The A&F tool is a waist of money. Get a proper tool from Ofrei, save you some headache.
Unfortunately. I must agree...

Good luck... I'm going to build a daejust franken again...

Yes... a Tudor 34 mm. oyster case may be perfect... but check if the back of the case has engraved tudor somewhere...

sounds like you have to re-tap the crown-tube tap .
Yes... you need a special tool to do it.

I tested mine uo to 8 atm and its ok... at 9 begings having problems.

Now he only needs to let the buyer know that for an additonal fee he could swap the dial for another...

I take a razor blade and scrape the paint off the old wheel then glue the new one to the bare metal on the old one.
the first time i did this i glued it right to the old wheel and had the same troubles.
after I removed the paint it worked perfect.
Thanks sir... this is the new aproach I already took... let's see. I think must be a mix between Ubi and yours solutions.

My watchmaker always has difficulties when he replaces the rep datewheel (usually on top of the ETA one) and places another one. Then, the DW doesn't move easily and some times even manually is very hard to move it. Also, the day transition happens slowly instead of quick.
Is there any tricky thing to consider when replacing a DW by another (overlaying it)? Thanks in advance.

God loves a chancer......
Yes ... but not enough, if I may say any chance for discount for a returning and easy-to-deal-with customer?

you did a great job.
what you use for cleaning and shining?
Very easy...
1.- soap and a toothbrush
2.- Turtle wax
3.- soap again
4.- cleaning napkin

Nice pieces, indeed!
In my personal opinion, the DJ is the only watch, that looks really good in SS/Gold. Have you ever tried a brown croc strap on it? You'd be surprised, it's a totaly different appearance - very classy
Regards, Micky
Thanks Micky... I've always been tempted to do it... I only need some end links to cover the gap hat the leather band leaves... I don't like it.

I decided this morning to perform a cleaning and shining session with these two babies, and I said to my self: why not sharing a bit with my friend these two master pieces?
Gentlemen franken DJ 16233 with gen case, dial, crown, crystal and ETA 2824-2, tudor hands and the new oyster bracelet from my good fiend 007 (thanks dude, great deal and excellent piece).
Ladies DJ with diamonds face and solid gold bracelet modern style, from River. The best ladies DJ I've ever seen. She wears it very often and gold remains perfect! Only little flaw: the bezel could be a bit fatter than gen.

I think Leonado deserves a special place in the forums.
He had unveiled the truth about the mbw myth for the average members like me.
No doubt the secret german elite members knew all about it. I am sure they had a good time laughing at people imagineries..
Before Leonado I imagined Maria as the boss in chief of a complex replica watch ring..
like the capo di capi of the high end watch forgeries which were of course bought by reputable collectors at the same time they bought their other timepieces at antiquorum or HENRYS auktionshaus.
Surrounded in the dense jungle by some thai militians he is filling orders trough his thuraya phone.
Sitting next to him is the second in chief Luckyyy..Both wear some very rare limited edition replica watches powered by rolex replica movements. Cases are 1:1 of course.
And they do know the next generation of tech materials in the watch industry, and the do know where are the infamous stolen gold rolex cases, and they predicted the launching of the new rolex milgauss...
You are the best and deserve a place in the wirters sections of the libraries!!! hahahaha... very good statement my friend

MBW 16610 never acceppted OEM parts without mods. If you want gen crown, you need to replace tube for gen also, if you want gen or aftermarket insert, you need fo file it a bit (just a little bit)... And if you want ot replace the solid mid links bracelet for an aftermarket one with hollow mid links, you need to bend the spring bars... so, don't expect a 16610 to mod without any pain...

What I meant with the glossy finish is what is shown in this web site: Superluminova
-
There is a German seller who is currently selling SL on the bay -- but just the pigment, no varnish, no thinner, etc.
As far as I know, the only one selling complete SL kits is rctritec.
Why not to buy from them?
Seems that rctriec accepts wire transfer only and it is a bit difficult the ordering process. But if I can't find it some other place I will order from them. I've been told tha if you use superluminova with glossy effect you don't need any varnish... is it so?
