Just got this back from upgrading the dial and hands. Seiko Pro Diver 6409-7040 circa 1979 Loses only 18"/day, but serviced only once since 1979, PR about 40 hrs. This is more of a tank than some higher end gens I've had. I doubt that my Tag and some Omegas will be this "tanky" 32 yrs from now.

LOL. I remember that. But much has changed since with accuracy of the super "out of the box" reps, and I just want the PO makers to catch up. Gen PO is definitely more affordable to source for the supposed "1:1" copies. If they actually did it with Rollies, I just can't see why they can't with PO's. You know what I mean?

I think this is all BS. I've been waiting for "V5" since 2006.

Does anyone know if ETA caliber C01.211 is the same as Valjoux 7750? They have the same lay out, and both by ETA. I wonder if an engine swap using the ETA caliber C01.211 would fit typical A7750 watches and their dials. Any WIS's know if this works? ETA caliber C01.211 can be accessed easier than straight Valjoux 7750. If it fits exactly like A7750, it would make a great engine for reps.

Any experiences or reviews on Paul's 42 PO? This one: http://www.wo-mart.com/product_info.php?cP...roducts_id=1129 I broke down and just ordered one, along with his "perfect sub." I understand that there are rather mixed reviews but mostly positive. What y'all think?
