  1. dunno if it helps but heres a photo of my 42mm 4th gen with a darker brown alligator strap. this was a recent change and i'm mad i didn't do this earlier. its so much nicer than the cheap bracelet you get with the 4th gen reps. the strap is from fredwatchstraps. i'm limited to choices as i need short length for my tiny wrists. i really wanted a strap with more padding, but they were all made for regular and larger sizes .
  2. okay when i say makers should focus more on the prestige watch makers in the 'watches you would like to see replicated in 2009' thread, i meant go next level and make them accurate, not half assed jobs .
  3. those look good...but i decided to go for the hirsch kevlar strap. not sure if it will fit me as its a regular length (i wear short length) and it was the shortest ones i can find for kevlar. will post pics when it gets here.
  4. the only kevlar strap i like in ofrei is the speedmaster x-33 one. if all else fails i might get that one. would much prefer something similar to the blancpain though.
  5. Hey guys i'm after a kevlar strap for my 4th gen which i believe is 20mm? i'm after something that is exact or very similar to the kevlar strap used in the Blancpain Fifty Fathom. - needs to be a small size for my tiny wrists - black with hidden stitching - thick and padded for the curvature look (at least 5mm thick) Help me locate this perfect strap ! If you want to post other kevlar straps on Omegas, please do so and turn this thread into THE kevlar strap thread for omegas.
  6. what type of strap is on the blancpain? anyone got a link t something very similar? i want to see makers focus more on the more prestige watch makers. the richard lange was replicated pretty well imo aesthetic wise. too bad it came with a crappy movement and materials that made the watch weigh like a feather.
  7. if they ever turn this into a super rep it would be funny seeing a horde of people wearing a watch thats limited to only 12 . so is the turbine suppose to work like a second hand? if so thats kinda cool, albeit 'rice'.
  8. yeah the j12 is a real head turner. i remember seeing a guy wearing one and everyone couldn't take their eyes off it.
  9. andrew now has the 3125 j12 rep on his site. whos going to take the first dive and report back ? looking at the pics, - gold looks too yellow (though this could be the lightings fault) - date window is located in the wrong position - colour of text/markers at the centre is wrong - the back, pretty much everything is wrong - clasp is wrong i was hoping they would do a good job replicating this particular model. loving black and gold combination watches, the 3125 imo is the best looking j12. i can live with a bad looking back, but the front has to look almost perfect.
  10. yeah need confirmation whether the gen bezel fits the 4th gen. the crappy pearl on the bezel is by far the biggest giveaway. someone have the link to the guy who switched the clasp on the rep bracelet? is it a perfert fit?
  11. is the whole casing of the gen polished also? edit: found some pics, looks like the rose gold rep isn't as good as the SS in terms of accuracy of the casing and hands. top half of the gen RG is polished and the hands have gold borders. still, its not going to stop me from buying one !

and make a rose gold version while your at it !
  13. i remember reading a long time ago how the genuine bezel does not fit with the 4th gen. can anyone confirm this?
  14. so the original bezel does not fit into a 4th gen PO?
  15. haha thanks. i'll check them out now. will report back if i can't find anything that i want edit* Found a possible candidate from hadley roma. price is good, going to ask the seller the thickness of it. Theres also another really nice one from Tritone. But the price if way above my budget. i think i should consider the grain options as there are some really nice looking ones. i'm also going to change my preference of the finish to matte only.
  16. yeah i've seen the ones from sirtoli. i don't mind paying that much, but the dark brown they have looks a shade too light for what i'm after. i'm after the really really dark brown (almost black). The Dunthorp link i posted is probably the lightest shade i'll consider. But thanks for the link, keep them coming people .
  17. Hey guys, i'm having troubles trying to find some genuine leather straps. Help me find some readily available ones without going custom. Here are my conditions: - 20/18 or 20/20 (preferably curved end) - Dark Brown (matte) - Full genuine leather - Prefer Crocodile/Alligator pattern (but also open to smooth grain etc) - Buckle holes - Heavy/Thick padding - Preferably contrast stitching - Less than $150 Quite picky i know , but i'm sure someone here has been in the same shoes. I found one that is perfect from Dunthorp, but the padding is too thin Heres another nice one from Artisan. However its a tad expensive.
  18. thanks for the response. im actually not too bothered whether its a fantasy or not, its actually the size im more worried about. at the moment im deciding whether to get this or the slightly larger classic chronograph (the fantasy model with two dials at 3 and 9).
  19. Hey does anyone know if this patek is a fantasy model? also anyone who have this model can you please post some wrist shots (preferably someone with skinny wrists). i want to know whether it is too small or not.
  20. Is it really that hard to get the correct font/spacing for a dial? I mean the guy has released like 100 versions of this dial lol. I hope he will be able to print out a perfect dial for this cause it is the only thing stopping me from buying it. This watch has been in my to buy list for ages.
  21. They can always migrate to google checkout......a better service imo.
  22. Just recieved my PO (my first replica yay ). Is the divers extention suppose to come out easily? Mine is sort of in between coming off easily and staying latched. I tried rolexman's method to make it stay latched better, but i didn't want to force it too much as i was scared of snapping it. Are there other methods? Also are there any ways to make the clasp function better, apart from purchasing a gen one? On a side note, i love this better than a gen SMP my bro has !
