  1. do v72 based dials still fit in st-19 cartel cases with no modifications besides the 6 subdial?
  2. are there not many 6264 and 6241 builds around? not seeing many pics of them here. if either one popped into the market, looks like there's going to be some tough competition :(.
  3. is the dial on the glossy side or matte? does it have the subtle sunburst effect that you find in the gens?
  4. hey big dazza,

how much is shipping to australia? (sorry, couldn't send you a pm).

    thanks.

  5. i'd cancel the order and ask for a refund. find a different watch or dealer to deal with.
  6. digging earlier threads, the noob lmpo seem to have sloppy lume jobs (a little worse with the current ones). from that, i think it's safe to assume that watch above is from the noob factory. indywatchguy one back in dec seems to be really good though. must of been his lucky day :P/

    116234 rep

yeah no, don't really want to trouble the man. he builds with gen cases? and i think he makes his own? even if he knows, it's not really related to his services. i figured someone here would have attempted to mod a rep.
  8. just received a 116234 from one of our TD. can a gen dial and bezel be retro fitted without modifications? i remember reading somewhere the rep datejust cases are a little off in dimensions. just want confirmation before i start looking for gen parts.
  9. received it a few days ago and it's pretty sweet! although attention to details is still lacking a little, similar to the v4 days in my opinion. was surprised by the deployment and divers extention. locks in tight. i was expecting a v4 bracelet going by all the bad reviews. on a bradys sailcloth (don't get the matching stitching, the guy just sharpies the threads lol).
  10. this one is mine (on its way!). first order from toro as well .
  11. does anyone remember the richard lange rep narikaa had for a short period of time a few years ago? mine got stolen recently and i'm really bummed about it. but i can't seem to find anyone who has one in stock. can anyone guide me to the right direction? is narikaa still in the game?
  12. ^not even the orange second hand tip? i remember the 4th gen was significantly duller than the gen and from these pics it looks to be the same?
  13. i've got the 'medium' grade mens J12. the ceramic used is pretty nice but there are some real annoying quality issues with mine. - date wheel flicks quite a bit when you move the watch around. - bezel does not align (but thats like 99% of replicas). the bezel is also a little loose. - the way its built is weird (theres a thread showing what the build is like). removing the bracelet is easy, but putting it back on i had to dismantle the watch. you can probably do it without dismantling but you will be spending hours of swearing every profanity you know at the watch. - this one is nit picking, but the clasp is kind of long (i think the genuine is a little shorter). because of this the bracelet sits quite square on a skinny wrist. i wear it quite often, and so far there hasn't been any scratches on the ceramic yet. the shine is just as brilliant as when i first got it.
  14. theres the richard lange as well. its a pretty accurate replica however the movement isn't too crash hot. narikaa is the goto guy for these, but i'm not sure if he still has any. i bought mine off him like a year ago. i love this replica to death and if i had the chance i would buy the real one. its such a understated and unknown watch to love.
  15. alright i finally got the bracelet back into the watch by following Devedander recommendation of removing the caseback, insert bracelet to the caseback, and screw the caseback back into the top half of the watch. so here is what i learned after spending 8 hours playing with this damn thing. - if you want to resize your bracelet, use hammer time with a pin (make sure its a small enough pin to fit through the small pin gap in the bracelet) to push a bit of the pin out. you can follow up with a pair of pliers to pull out the collar bit of the pin. hammer time to push pin and collar back together. - it is recommended you do this without taking the bracelet off the watch. it is a major pain to put it back into together when you are finished. if you must, be prepared to take the caseback out. the screws are very small so watch out for those as well. i lost one in the process of removing them. - if you have a bezel mis-alignment, use the hair dryer method. forget about removing the whole bezel, its too tough. the insert also creeps back into its old position, so i would suggest to hold the insert after your adjustments until it cools down.
  16. thought i'll post my experience for reference. the pins are pretty easy to push out if you have the right tools. i used a small strong pin tool and a hammer to hammer it out. just a few light taps i was able to push the pin out enough to remove the collar with a pair of plyers. pushing them back in is a tough and tricky task. i used a hammer to tap mine in. if you don't see it going in from a few taps, it means the collar part of the pin isn't go through the link slot. minor movements and a bit of pushing the pin together you should be able to push them in together (you will know as they are relatively easy to push in together). after that just tap it with a hammer a few times to get a nice seal. NOW, i'm stuck trying to put the bracelet back to the watch. the pin holes on the lugs seem to be a tad recessed into the lugs. before i took out the bracelet i remember seeing the ends of the push pins a tad bent inwards to enter the pin poles inside the lugs. i am now stuck and can't get the push pins to lock into the lug holes. sigh. seems like hurdles after hurdles with this damn watch. anyone with experience want to tell me how you put this POS back together.
  17. actually i think i fixed it. the hairdryer method seems to have worked.
  18. just tried popping the bezel out. can't seem to pry it out. has anyone tried doing this?
  19. just recieved one of these in the mail today. first thing i noticed was that i had a misaligned bezel (i seem to have a real bad misfortune with rotating bezels). it's about half a click off and very noticeable. is there a quickfix to this? i really don't want to go through the exchange process from my dealer. i had to wait 3 months to get this one :/.
  20. just want to bump this thread to spark more interest. this watch MUST be repped in 2009, preferably early 2009 .
  21. thanks for the comments guys. the contrast stitching has started to grow on me. its actually quite subtle cause its has a greyish tone rather than being full white. i don't think i'll be using the sharpie anymore . as for getting a oem buckle/deployment, i'll probably do that sometime in the future. the deployment i bought with the strap just doesn't do it for me. damn i love this strap .
  22. i got my strap today, heres a pic. i'm pretty happy with it, looks alot like the fifty fathoms strap i wanted . the strap is by hirsch. i might sharpie the stitching if i feel adventourous.
  23. i was looking for woman size straps, but i didn't know where to look. the ones i found were all for smaller lug sizes. fortunately there are still some companies that make short leather men straps.
