Ferrari Chrono in rose gold - it is amazing

Sssurfer may be on to something. My father used to get a rash from wearing his Rolex Datejust and it was from the nickel in the stainless steel that he was allergic to. He used to wear the watch tight on his wrist but eventually found that wearing it loosely helped to minimize the allergic response albeit did not completely prevent them. I wish you well on this. Cheers

Very impressive photography skills and of course the watches are top drawer. I especially like the pics of the TT Navitimer and the IWC engineer. Cheers

I am with Lord Rasta - number one is the keeper. Very nice choice of Rolex ... the Air-King ... wrist shot is in order. Enjoy

I think you should be patient and give it another week. While, under two weeks is the norm, delays occur and it is your bad fortune to experience one. Good luck with it.

Determined Exhibitionist Repeatedly Moons Canadian Morning Show
This reminds me of the the nonsensical humor of my youth - situational comedy that appears spontaneously.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My deepest sympathy. The loss of a young life is tragic; it is the loss of all that might have been. I will offer a prayer for your friend. This is a time to mourn and no words can sooth this kind of pain though I share this poem by W.H. Auden.
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.
He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.
The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

Almost all solid kt white gold jewelery including watches are plated with a platinum alloy - Rhodium is commoly used. Without doing this the white gold will appear its true color in a brown/grey hue rather than the lusterous white that it is desired. So, plating with white gold will not get you to where you want to be. Cheers

Dude, that's asking what my name is and I'm not comfortable with giving that out here. I have however over the years been given many titles by friends, colleagues, enemies and complete stangers...
I think it would be cool if we felt somewhat like the Elizabethans did about blokes and jewelry without getting hung up about sexual orientation, class, and other stuff. I lived in the States for quite a few years and loved that it was more possible to do your own thing without running into as many judgement boundaries as seem to exist in England. As a bud of mine was fond of saying, "Joke 'em if they can't take a f**k." On the flip side I also recognise that people really like feeling that they're part of a clan/tribe. Part of that is saying what you are but just as much, if not more sometimes, is saying what you're not. One theory about the origin of some Jewish law was that it in part arose in distinction to folks like the Canaanites, who for example celebrated one major religious festival with kid goat cooked in milk.
My apology. I did not intend to out you or cause you discomfort. I intended the question only in a generic way and was looking for a general answer such as a "Baronet" or "Knight" et alii. It was my bad form to be so forward. Cheers

The crowd that I grew up with frown on jewelry (other than signet rings but only if you have a title).
What is your title? Cheers

Thanks to all for the recommendations. What size will I need? 20mm? 22mm?
It is 21mm at the lugs on the rep strap.
I replaced the rep strap with a 22mm gen mat alligator in darker brown. I picked it up on eBay - was a gen Montblanc. For me the darker brown alligator is the only way to go. But I am a fiend for genuine alligator straps on my watches. - Cheers

Is that a real Angels World Series ring? Or it is a rep?
I believe that it is an Angels staff ring presented to employees. It is solid 14k yellow gold with plenty of real diamonds. It has big presence. It weighs in at 22 grams and has a person's name engraved on the inside of the band. It looks like a Balfour or Jostens make. It was a gift from my wife and children and they purchased it online from a sports memoribilia place. Cheers

Great works seems like a real understatement but great work. Also, thanks for the lesson on photographing lume. I did not know a thing about the affect of exposure time and the appearance of the the glow until now. Thanks

I have spent a lot of money on Gens in the past and will never go back unless I were to win big in the lottery because of the quality of the new reps coming out. You have a beautiful watch there.... I wish you well - Cheers
How much would YOU spend on a replica?

I am with Ms V on the top end price of $400. I would add that the $300 mark will get you a good rep too. Cheers
