I think it's sad your wife would make you turn over your computers and give you a polygraph test to determine if you are lying. In a really healthy marriage a partner's word should be more than enough evidence... but I do feel for you, and although we've never done any business, my heart goes out to you. But what kind of movement would do such a complicated thing? Could this be for real? I'm actually thinking of getting one of these because it is an interesting piece to own. Everyone seems to think that "maybe it is not such a looker, but with such a complex feature, it just cannot be faked!" This might be the perfect innovation in believable Rolexes!

Thank you for the pictures. That movement is absolutely breathtaking; its absolutely Patek Philippe in every way - elegant and absolutely dripping in wealth. That rotor is solid 24K gold, I believe. My favorite thing about Patek Philippe is the painstaking attention to detail in both design and manufacture. Look really carefully at how those hour markers are made, those at an angle other than perfectly vertical/horizontal are offset just a little at the end to counterbalance the effect and fit nicely into the case. Your post, alongside so many others here, is valuable because it deals such a powerful blow to the even highest end replica watches. Consider the MBK Nautilus, for instance - supposedly the best Patek rep in existence. But in looking at your photos, it is so abundantly clear that this rep will never ever come close in a million years to craftsmanship and quality of the original piece. Consider all of the "franken" reps that are sold here so regularly - they will never possess the intricacy and precision of their real counterparts. It is such a rare and beautiful watch, since it puts this hobby in perspective. Obviously, there are many others here that do the exact same. But I think 1) because I love patek and 2) it is the most expensive and rarest watch posted so far is why its getting so much attention. When one puts on a replica watch, it is to look wealthy - your Nautilus is the symbol of true opulence sir, and for that, it deserves respect.

Great story, Sanro! It really is a beautiful watch and I, for one, would love to see more pictures!! Am I correct in saying that there are no mobile seconds hand except when the chrono is activated?

I think it looks pretty tough with the bezel missing, especially with the fabric strap. Sort of like a "scars of war" motif. Very rugged.

When I saw your picture my jaw just dropped and I stared motionless, mouth open, for a good 90 seconds at the picture trying to find the flaws thinking it was obvious a "joke" post. Honestly, if you own this gorgeous gorgeous piece, why would you want to wear anything else? This watch is simply majestic. You are a very lucky person. Very lucky indeed. As a Patek lover, I aspire to own a 5036 one day, but I'm not holding my breath... $42,000 is a little much. Now you on the other hand, just a little less for a stainless steel model. Pardon my arrogance, but you good sir, must be loaded! Wear it well!

oh my god you can't be serious.... that's a $35,000 watch and one of the rarest and most complex Patek available now. If you really do own that then what the hell are you doing here with us replica people???

The part about how they make replica eggs (artificial egg taste + shape without the chicken) to save money was so disgusting that I threw up a little bit of my lunch. To see someone wearing a mask and stirring powders and various toxic chemicals into a mold to create a squishy ball that looks (quite legitimately) like an egg yoke is so sickening that it really makes you think twice about eating when you're over there visiting.

Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that "new dealer" watchmark is not so ... "new"? Call it a hunch.

I definitely agree with you. One thing that bugs me on my MBK Nautilus is how the datewheel doesn't quite end where the date aperture is cut out on the right hand side. It's a tiny teeny little space in between and under just the right light you can just see a little bit of the Nautilus' innards. (Go pick yours up right now and check... I'll wait... see it? I know. annoying right?) Eventually you just have to follow the right pattern of reasoning: 99% of people have no idea what kind of watch you wear. Of the 1% of people who recognize your watch, about 5% actually care. Of those 5%, 99.99% are clueless about the specific design details of the watch you wear. Thus, unless you run into the person who is in charge of overseeing quality control of jumbo Nautilusses at the Patek Philippe factory, you're safe. Same goes for everything else, really.

I think if you are starting to obsess about something this small you have officially gone replica insane. Honestly who is going to notice the dash in the "A" of your watch is 0.003 mm too think when you're walking down the street? If you put a microscope to your replica there is more than just the horizontal font dashes that are incorrect..

I had my watch waterproofed by a local mega dealer and it came looking like this: ...needless to say I have never even been close to having it touch even a drop of water.

The crown is too small for my taste.

I remember when I wrote the exact same post as you about a year and a half ago. What a noob I was back then huh! The best advice I can give you is to get yourself a membership on this forum, research the VIP areas, learn about the dealers, their products, and choose a timepiece that suits your needs based upon what you've gathered from your investigation.
