This for Wednesday.

The new Explorer II looks very nice.
-
That's v1.
But who really cares about that missing '10 marker.
The lume sticks QC is much more important detail, imho. The bad ones look like chewing gum.
Those in the pic look ok though.

My Noobmariner has better SEL's!
Marc.
Of course, as the bastardized gen in the picture doesn't have SELs. It's an older T<25 model.
But yeah, the other last link seems to be loose.
-
Yeah, ugly.
The base watch is genuine though.
-
My initial impression of the pearl was similar. I really wondered about the SELs (or lack of them) as well. I understand why people don't like it.
But the longer I've had this watch (rep), the more I appreciate the uniqueness. B01 is definitely "different". That's why it's such a controversial model.

Pepsi for Monday.

Congrats, Marty. Don't know why some people have to be dicks.
Naah... that's just Dave and his sense of humor.
It took me a few years to get used to it.

Found this from BreitlingSource.
What do you think?

Classic 911 is amazing. Steve McQueen's or not.
-
Good old steel Sub for Sunday.

I don't care about luminous abilities, but sloppily applied lume markers on some watches bother me. Watches that have big and noticeable lume areas, like BCE, you can't compare the rep lume application to gen's.
Funny that people were always complaining about Skyland lume dots, and you can't even see the problem with a naked eye (without looking very closely). But when you see a gen BCE dial... the smoothness of those sticks... and then compare it to rep's chewing gum lume, the difference is HUGE.
Also, most rep lume areas are too green when uncharged (esp. Breitlings). 'Ling lume is ivory white, not green.

@seafoam: That's amazing!

Skyland today and yesterday.
-
My favorite chrono for today.
-
Same as mine. It's really cool watch.

I think the guy who shot that video got a "little busy" moving his ass out of that area. I'm old enough to remember the Chernobyl disaster.
Terrible.

While i sometimes forget you are a Rolex man BT,i know you have an appreciation for Breits,as do i with Rolex,i`m wearing one now.
Great review on the BO1 by the way, just read it today. And a great wristie.
Thanks Dave.
I don't know if I'm really a "Rolex man". Never really thought it that way... I like all nice watches equally. And Breitling makes many cool ones.
I actually like the B01. I know it's very unpopular model but it has certain charm.

Reps:
BCE v3 Graphite.
B01 "Ultimate"
Skyland v2 "tungsten grey"
TT Navitimer A7750
Black replica Fish (ETA)
Blue/violet replica Fish (ETA)
Gen Fish
I also had an old Navitimer (the first ever A7750 Navi rep) but couldn't find a wristie.

That's cool TJ!
I'm going with my blue /& red.

The Steelfish was originally 42mm.
Yes. But it's completely different model. This one is just "SuperOcean".
This article explains the Fish (42mm and 44mm throughly). LINK.
-
Very nice.
But I don't think that's actually called "Steelfish" at all. That older model is just "Breitling Superocean".
-
Fish.

This time Rolex hasn't ruined a model. They ruined the GMT Master II, Submariner steel and two-tone, imho. Fat lugs are a welcome addition to ExpII as was a bit "undersized" watch. It wore significantly smaller than Sub and GMT, despite only 1mm difference.
It's the first new Rolex in years (that I like).
PS: I'm afraid that Pepsi GMT IIc is a Photoshop.
