  1. Its funny how some ppl go about buying and selling. Also it funny when someone tries to "haggle" with you and offers a crazy offer at 200eu lower than asked. Comeon ppl if your going to offer somthing crazy like that why even do it? I can understand the point of haggling but theres a point where its just plain rude.

PPl need to realize that you are buying a REP not a gen and they are not perfect. IF you want a perfect watch go buy a gen, or buy a rep and spend some money to have it moded.

I am glad for the few really great members here, i see it as alittle family. lol

Most Asians starts 50% below the asking price........I guess that tells you that most of the buyers here are Asians??????  :boxing:

  2. Ohhhh......the bane of selling and buying??? So many crap stories and experiences......from unknown members and some/few known members........still waiting for parts (defective or missing)....some for months

and some for a year......but it comes with the process :fool: ~!

We just have to leave with it knowing that it's a REP world! :g:

  3. Dave, that's true, but you were using PayPal, were you not. I really don't like WU even when sending money to guys I trust. If there is a problem, he can ultimately tell you to shove it and walk away, with PayPal, at least you do have some recourse, even more if you are paying with a credit card through PayPal. I know this is far fetched, but there was and incident on a gen forum quite a few years ago, before Paypal. Guy sold a watch to another member, before he could pack it and ship it out, he was either in a bad accident, or had a stroke, can't remember which, but long story short, 6-8 months later, the buyer had never gotten his watch. the guys wife knew nothing about his watches, trades, sales, etc. She wouldn't send it, claimed she didn't have any idea that her husband was selling this watch, which may or may not have been true, but I don't think the buyer ever got his watch! So, after getting burned by WM9 to the tune of 375.00 USD, and hearing all the chatter going on about deals gone bad, I'm reluctant to use WU.

IF DW were to come on this forum and answer the questions about these deals, and square up with everyone, then I believe he would generate a lot of business here.Until that happens, I'll take a chance if I can use PayPal, but that's the only way.

He did once last year, but then went back to his old ways. DH then help him out from the UK side, but that, too he manage to screw up!

  4. Interesting, I bought a pre Daytona Dial from him a couple of months ago, he shipped it as promised, took forever to get here, but that's not his fault, none of us can control shipping times. A few days ago, I emailed him about a gold plated Daytona 6263, he responded quickly said he had one of each, gold dial ad black dial versions. I emailed him back said I was interested and what was the price. He emailed me back and said the price was 490.00 USD, but he was having problems with PayPal and could I use WU. My warning buzzers went off immediately, with al the problems folks have had with him here in the past, I'm very reluctant to send over 500 USD to him with no recourse should he decide that it was a gift from me to him!! I really want a Gold Plated Daytona, but I don't think I want to take the risk of being scammed.

Very smart move! You could spend your $500 on a hooker BJ and get a better excitement than waiting for your order to show up!.......the only good thing you have a longer erection with DW.......six months to forever!

  5. Pffffft, the idea is to go get 'em yourself. Fill some coolers with some nice fat Sockeye fillets.

I've eaten waaaaaaay too much salmon, since I learned to walk. I'm sick of it. But a nice Copper Red? Yeah I'm tempted again. 'Specially if it's squaw candy.

Dude, I was there (Anchorage) for 2 weeks '04 and meet a fellow Flip at a local tackle and bait shop to rent some gear without knowing nothing where to go and this fellow offered to take me over the weekend

to the Chunuk'tnu (that's the Russian River for those who don't know) river.......make long story short, it was a blast......and with some scary moments.....last day of our fishing adventure, I had two SIlvers and he had

one king on two plastics bags (just incase the troopers check) and we where still fishing on an embankment when we hear a grunt behind us........brown bear with her cub.....damn....we just jump in the river and run walk

all the way to the middle, I was shaking like I had a severe fever.....they eat our catch and when done they just wander away without even batting an eye on us!

Anyho, by the time I left for home, I had sixty mix of kings/silver and sockeye deep frozen on six big ass boxes. One of the best land fishing trips I've had!

  6. When I see that dial, Hike, it ALMOST makes me want to deal with DW again!  Beautiful.

What a gorgeous watch!!! I wanted one so bad, but no luck with DW :(

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo......you don't wanna do that! Why don't you try the Spin route, he might be able to source it for you???

  7. It is not a good idea to show your rep to an AD (gen dealer). Especially, in the case of a Rolex branded item, the AD may confiscate it &, in some cases, because it is illegal contraband & infringes on Rolex's trademarks & patents, you may also risk potential problems with Rolex attorneys.

    +1.....wow! :fool:
