  1. I have just emailed Joshua asking him whether it is a speck of dust or a mark... And if it is just a foreign body, to send the watch ASAP. Having read around a little 10secs a day doesn't seem like too much after all, so thank you all very much for chipping in... I really appreciate it. As soon as I get the watch through I will put some pictures up. Hopefully shouldn't be too long. On a side note, is there a bezel ring replacement guide and a gen crown and tube tutorial on here somewhere?
  2. Thanks. What do you reckon guys reckon to the +10 seconds perday? Does that seem about out? Also, is there a scratch on the outer section of the bezel near the 50 marker? Its above the 0.
  3. Hi all, this is my first rep that I am waiting for, and having just recieved the QC pics, I wondered if I could get it checked over as im not sure what Im looking for. Sorry for being a bit daft lol Thanks all!
  4. This is such an interesting subject, and one that will ALWAYS cause controversy. I would guess that I am like 99% of this forum on here and rep geeks.... We are here because we love watches. Not because we love the name printed on the face and we want to impress people. If I am window shopping, it's the design of the watch that catches my eye. In my opinion, people who buy watches to boost their ego's or higher there social standing are just daft. That's why I own about 6 Casio watches, and a few Skagens too.... Because they are pretty... Not because they are £6000 with a name plastered over them. I'm not saying that if I had £10000 spare I wouldnt search out a GEN Pam, because they are a beautiful bit of engineering and design. But not all of us are in that fortunate position. If anything, gen owners should be proud that they have a product that is lusted over, but it is when they get on their high horse that things go belly up. I am in the same boat as vandal. I was looking at GENS first and didn't want to get done over. I didn't come onto this forum thinking 'oooo if I buy a rep I can fool my friends into thinking I'm really wealthy' but if I can show them what a nice bit of design a watch is, they can enjoy it too. I do greatly agree with the forum rules that say if you have a rep, don't go flashing it around to AD. A watch is there to give you a personal feeling, and for you to enjoy, it doesn't have to be flashed around to be 'shown off' Anyway.... That's just a newbies thoughts lol.
  5. Excellent review mate! And some very arty pictures. Shame about the clasp letting it down a little but this is a lovely watch. What's next on your list?
  6. Haha.... Ohhhh yeah! Im just not a fan of that. Hence why I ordered a black one. Each to there own. I think having REALLY viberant colour on a classy watch ruins it. Its like tourbillons, its down to the individuals opinion.
  7. Im not mad keen on the orange bezel.... I think its trying too hard. The PO is such a pretty and visually balanced watch that it doesn't need silly colours on it. That DSSD is beautiful! I was ready to purchase until I realised that CNY is crippling everyone on here.... Something I didn't consider when I ordered my 45.5 PO on the 22/1/12.... What a wolly I am!
  8. Vandel... Have you ordered a REP D-DSSD? After seeing the two videos on here I'm very tempted by that. Where did you order yours? I like the look of that. Also as more of a general question, which watches are considered "super-reps"?
  9. I agree with your basic principle there too WetWork... I think "simple" watches have much more presence on your wrist than over cluttered faces. Not personally a fan of any of those you put up, but thats what individual tastes are for. Im a big fan of the Omega Railmaster, but I don't know if there are good quality reps out there. I personally think that THIS and THIS are beautiful!
  10. Ah ha! Thank you very much for that confirmation. I got a little worried lol. Hopefully I will receive the QC pics soon. Cant wait!
  11. That is a cracker mate! Looks like you got one the good ones. Really appreciate the help too with the websites. I got given the heads up about this before I ordered. When did you put your order in? Im a bit miffed about the delay, but looking at your pictures, I should think it will be worth it. I got this one.... http://www.1-pc8838.com/omse10030-planet-ocean-455mm-black-28242-p-9435.html I went for the 45.5mm because I have quite large wrists. Also, just as a side note, Josh gave me a EMS tracking number before he sent any pictures of QC.... Is this normal? Seems a bit backwards to me? Thanks
  12. WetWork..... Who did you buy your watch from in the end? Josh? Ive just put an order in for a PO 45.5mm... can't wait! But I think I face a delay due to the new year over there
  13. This is an absolutely STUNNING piece of kit. And the photos really compliment it. May I ask where you got it from?
  14. I too would like a bit of a hand with buying a rep Hublot BB. I love the watches and I have seen a few floating around but I havent got the experience to know what to look for. I would really appreciate some help or first hand experience if anyone has some. Thanks. Ross
