  1. How do you remove the bracelet? Mine is so tight it will not come off so I can use a leather strap. Even my watch repair man is having problems and suggested leaving the watch with him so he can try it again. I have gone to 3 jewelry stores too - no luck.
  2. I have the rep strap with deployant clasp but I want one with the buckle instead - buckle that says Breitling like the gen.
  3. I want to try it on a leather strap but I cannot remove the bracelet! I went to 2 jewelry stores and they also could not remove it. My watch repair man said that he could do it but I would have to leave the watch because the bracelet is too tight to remove easily. I had ordered the black deployant strap from Andrew. Anybody know where I can find a rep buckle Breitling strap?
  4. My watch´s concert debut....(some photos were done with a cell phone. sorry about the quality)
  5. My watch arrived and I love it! Andrew convinced me to get the black dial. Good choice.
  6. After having read some of your posts I looked up color matching on the internet. I was taught that classic blue suits require black shoes. Acccording to the fashion sites this is true in London and on Wall Street but newer tendencies match brown shoes with blue for a more casual look. I actually found some of the fashion rules to be complicated. One site seemed to match every color shoe with every color suit. See below. At present I only wear brown shoes with grey suits but that might change. I never thought about the watch dial, only the strap. I would wear a black dial watch with any color suit. In some cities like Milan, London, New York etc. people really notice what you wear. I do not want to look outdated. I am not trying to be on the cover of GQ either! SHOES & TROUSER COLOUR GUIDE Trouser/suit color Shoe color Black black, tan or camel (a more risqué choice), oxblood Gray black, oxblood, camel Brown any shade of brown, black, camel Navy black, camel, tan, oxblood Earth tones any shade of brown, camel, black Read more: http://uk.askmen.com/fashion/fashiontip_150/162_fashion_advice.html#ixzz1iWqTfKlB
  7. I just ordered the brown dial version from Andrew. The video of this watch shows the brown dial so I figure they used it because it was the watch they copied from. I do not know if that is true, though. If I were making a video I would always use the best copy to show off. I tried on a gen today with black dial and I loved the feel of it. The black dial is a very elegant watch. Now comes the hard part.....waiting! I ordered both the bracelet and leather strap.
  8. How can Paypal protect you if you are buying a rep? I have purchased rep articles on Ioffer, not watches, and used PP but I cannot write that I am paying for a rep item or mention brand names.
  9. My Christmas bonus arrives this week and I have decided to get a Flying B. I have seen a gen with black dial. Of the reps which color dial is closest to the gen? I like the brown but maybe I should stick to black if the brown color is off. Also, who prefers bracelet and who prefers strap?
  10. I wear a PAM 005 with black strap daily. Black goes with everything. I do want a brown strap however. I wear suits a lot for work so I don´t know if brown straps are acceptable are far as dress codes go. My suits are black, dark blue, and grey. I only wear brown shoes with the grey suit. So, do watch bands HAVE to match your shoe and belt color??? What about formal occasions where I have to wear a tux?
  11. Franck Muller has some nice big watches.
  12. I have a question for everyone. Does my watch band have to match my shoes and belt for casual and formal occasions? For example, if I have a Breitling with a brown strap can I wear it with a dark blue suit and black shoes, or do I have to wear only a watch with a black strap or bracelet with this outfit?
  13. Thierry Mugler is my favorite but I also have Jaipur and XY by Hugo Boss.
  14. Breitling Flying B! That will probably be my next watch.
  15. I do hope the administration will seriously look into this. Using my personal info as he did and even involving the death of a family member into the discussion goes beyond all limits.
  16. I just saw Breitling´s site and the photos of the FlyingB do not seem to be different from this watch with regards to color of the date wheel. Maybe I am a little color blind LOL. Also PERFECTCLONES says their FlyingB has a marron date wheel. Am I being too optimistic? I do plan to buy one as soon as I can get over the strain of Xmas spending. I hope they are still in stock.
  17. My first trans-Atlantic flight was with Pan-Am thirty-five years ago. Sad the big airlines like Pan-Am and TWA no longer exist.
  18. I was so excited after reading your post that I went out today and tried on a gen FlyingB! It was black dial and black leather strap. I loved it, but I have to admit - strangely enough I am more excited about the idea of getting this rep! Weird. I usually dream of the gen, but now that I have seen and touched the gen I am dreaming of the rep!!!!!! Money is a bit tight now but my next splurge may well be the FlyingB - then a Hublot V6 and a Franck Muller Casablanca in that order.
  19. I want one!! This is a beautiful watch. I want to make sure of one thing before deciding, how accurate is the dial color? I have read here that brown is closest to the gen. How does the black dial compare to the gen? I prefer black.
  20. Gold Plating | easyelectroplating.co.uk this company does gold plating and said they could plate over an existing plating. i want a franck muller plated. it already has a 5 micron job but i want another 5 microns to make sure i can use it on a daily basis. the watch is rose gold.
  21. I hope this never happens to another member. Gatsby asked for my personal info and then accused me of being suspicious, a scammer. He GOOGLED me and then sent my father´s obituary as proof. Be careful when dealing with him and do not give up all of your personal info like I did. Don´t be a victim of phishing!
  22. I was told by a plating specialist in England that plating can be done over an existing gold plate. I specifically asked about rose gold.
  23. I have sent the seller´s name to a member of the administration and authorized him to read my messages if that is allowed. The seller sent me a message saying that he asked my age because he googled my name and found an obituary - it was my late father´s obituary! I find this highly offensive and hurtful. He said he was suspicious because I spoke his language. I explained that I had worked in his country before moving to Portugal. Anyway I have learned an important lesson; be careful when giving out info even if you are in a safe environment.
  24. I feel like I was a stupid victim of phishing and I FELL FOR IT! After giving him all the info he finally said, after having accused me of trying to pull a Paypal scam, that I could send him a bank wire or have a friend pick up the watch in another city in his country. We live in different european countries. I had told him that 30 years before I lived in his country so I spoke the language. But that was THIRTY YEARS AGO! He also said that he was wary of me because after I gave him my personal info he GOOGLED me! I have no criminal record so I assume that he saw my professional résumé or FACEBOOK page.
  25. I tried to buy a watch from a member who is advertizing. He asked me all of my personal information including my age. I sent my address and phone number. I said that I could pay with Paypal. After receiving all of my info he accused me of being a scammer! I feel cheated. I have given personal info to a person and do not even know his name I did this because the sale is within EU therefore no customs problems.
