FF you definitelly have a very exquisite taste.
Your criteria on straps is also very elegant!
Congratulations and again, thank you very much for your help.
Cheers,
Marco

No still haven't got around to it, though getting some new ideas from Davidsen's new vintage stuff. Still have the movt stashed away. It is one of my prized possessions. Thanx again, Marco.
Eddy
Its great to have you back!

Welcome back Eddy! Any news on your vintage project?
Cheers,
Marco

Hi Rolli
Nice denim shirt!
the watches seem to rotate but you keep fateful to it.
BTW your watches always shine bright.
Cheers,
Marco

... and crucially the fact that the bezel was able to be removed (it screws onto the movt spacer are all tells) that this is not a fake
Sniper eye my friend...

Looks very genuine to me...

Hi!
Thanks for the welcome and info!
There is much information around and I am just grasping the surface...
phoband: Portugal is a nice little place. Make sure you come back.
back to reading, then... bye
Bem vindo... and feel yourself at home!

We wise and astute members of RWG/TRC etc are not the only customers of the replica goods - at least we do have the benefit of knowing not to pay $1000 for an asian movt Rollie. Stop worrying about small things - a rep is a rep.
Nuff said!

Wheels are perfect as it gets...
Knowing Mark's schizofrenical condition for detail (
) I suspect these wheels are even better than the OEM.
this may sound like a stupid thought but why dont we tip our dealers to mass order them from Mark?
This could represent a powerful improvement to their models and would be certainly easier for some of us who dont have resourceful means to get those wheels installed by a reliable third party!
Merry Christmas to you all!

Well not being very Christian and being a Communist country means they just provide all the [censored] that we commercial Christmas celebrators buy!! So no - they don't break for it.
You do not exist man.... a regular Lenny Bruce!
-
The type and font / lettering couldnt be more correct... in fact I believe results are now good as they can get!
Brutal results, man...
In the meantime do not forget to drop me a letter if you get tired of it and decide to throw it away!

Grrrrrreat!
Congrats Mark. A zenith has been reached and this is a masterpiece indeed.
Rob's strap is awesome also. A perfect match for this jewel!

I wish you all a merry Christmas and a wonderful 2007!
I would like to give a special hug to Mark, Faber, Gil, Sigi, Oliver, Randy, Erdal, Kenan, Colin, "Green" Paul, Rob, Jay, Eddy, River, Andrew, Joshua, Eddie, Davidsen and Jon (wherever you are now and a bit [censored] with you)!
Marco
Please lets make 2007 a Vintage year to the forum!

Merry Christmas
Is it southern France?

You will have to be careful with the dials; I blasted 2 dials experimenting (including one from Davidsen) and they are not cheap...
Cheers,
Marco
PS - Merry Christmas and good luck with your new house!

Thanks for your kind words guys.
I am pretty satisfied with the results... and with the process itself I must say.
I lost my fear for small mechanisms - and for non-reversibility itself! - and dedicated myself to all the tasks involved on vintageization process; case, dial and crystal.
I even discovered that I was able to disassemble and reassemble the watch...
The result is in fact comparable to the real mccoy:
(Just follow Mark's link: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=8506)
Unfortunatelly my photo skills are bad as they can be...
Next project will be a 2533!
Cheers,
Marco

Slay,
Please PM telling me what you need and I will try to help you.

Well Marco, what can I say. Awesome work...
Regarding this spacer ring, I might be able to help you out - could you tell me your required measurements and I will see what I can do for you this Christmas.
Hi Oliver,
Your generosity is always remarkable and I really appreciate your help. You sure are a Christmas Spirit...
Meanwhile I asked my watchsmith to have one spacer specially tailored for this case.
If the results turn out bad I will not hesitate asking for your help.
As always I thank you for the care you always dedicate and hope I can retribute.
Wish you the best my friend and merry Christmas!
Marco
pannylovernr1: I will post later some tips on my "amateurish" vintageizing process.

This is really an art piece...Marco you are becoming a vintage master...saude...com um bom vinho do porto...
Grande Faber!
Espero que esteja tudo bem consigo. Há quanto tempo!
Um forte abraço.

maybe they cant afford any better than a trailer park, because they spent all their lifetime savings on one panerai watch? No money for lipo either!
What a cruel remark...
If not for the stamped t-shirt or the tech equipment I would say that guy could be out of a Darwin's fantasy!

Congratulations on your watch.
I imagine how you are enjoying it!![:)](https://rwg.cc/datastore/emoticons/emoticons/default_smile.png)
Mark's work is the best you can get (gold fingers and a x-tra keen eye for detail!) and it sure makes all the difference.
He actually can make a rep look like a gen (vintage or actual) and I believe we should all enjoy him as much as we can because one of this days Panerai will hijack him to work for them creating some Special Editions!![:)](https://rwg.cc/datastore/emoticons/emoticons/default_smile.png)
BTW could you explain me the "magic" on gREG straps? IMHO they look grotesque (sorry for that but its only my opinion on their looks and finishings)!
Enjoy that beautiful watch (but get a MF strap instead!)
Cheers,
Marco
