  1. But you would advice the Y3135? That one does also take gen hands, DW and dial right?
  2. Must be more then 21 hublot fans here..
  3. Wow! What a great review.. Guess my 16613 build has to wait a little longer.. Perhaps for a V3. Thanks for all your efforts in writing this review! This gives all the knowledge we noobs need to make decisions! I will just continue gathering gen parts for my project and hope that in the not near future there will be a more reliable build. Thanks again mate! You are a true asset here!
  4. Wow! Cool movie. Now let's platinum plate my insert ;-)
  5. Cool to know! Thanks! Always wondered how they did that!
  6. It isn't very noticable on the wrist. Looks less straight in real. Maybe a correct triangle in the future ;-) but the pearl is a lot better!
  7. Haha my TC 16613 franken build depends on this review!!
  8. No worries;-) all ok! We all have those days sometimes ;-)
  9. If you read my post then you would have know ;-) It's josh ( Joshua, perfect clones) a TD on this forum
  10. The final result My BK DSSD + bigger Trevor hour markers on dial + new "blacker" insert with new superlumed glass clad pearl. + straight triangle What to mod next? I do not like a matte finished dial, does not look gen IMO And the same with AR on this model. Do not like it. Only thing I consider doing now is repaint the insert with a good metallic platinum paint. Result so far!
  11. BTW if you look really close at the pic of the gen GMT bezel you can see another "hard to copy" feat. The platinum paint is not on the edges of the markings and numbers.. Only at the bottom.. How the hell do they manage to do that I ask myself
  12. Looks good mate! What method did you used to get the insert off?
  13. Have a look around on the forum. Try the search function! There is a dealer list, have a look there! They all sell watches with ETA movements. Just pick your model and choose the movement. There are a lot of reviews here were you can find all the info you need ;-) Good luck!
  14. Not before 2014 my guess but when that day comes a lot of member here will be happy!
  15. I am trying to upgrade my BK DSSD with some better parts. I installed a new dial, bigger hour markers. Then I lost my pearl so ordered one from PBdad, only thing is he sent me a sub pearl as you can see in the images. But he doesn't want to admit he is made a mistake. So I attached it anyway so I could wear the watch. Then a few weeks ago the upgraded DSSD showed up on several sites. It is a new correct glass clad pearl with superlume and new blacker insert as they describe. The markers on the insert are less deep then BK's original noob dial. The pearl looks good to me and they made the triangle on top straight. Maybe a bit too straight IMO. Have a look and see for yourself cos I made some pics! Side by side The incorrect PBdad pearl :-S and triangle Deeper engravings on the 50 (old insert) New pearl and triangle The less engraved 50 I think it's an improvement over the old insert, even though the triangle is maybe too straight now at the top. Anyway I am going to use it as replacement, because every time I look at my pearl now it remembers me of the mistake PBdad made and wouldn't admit. So that's an expensive mistake for $80!! BTW a big thanks for Josh for helping me get the new insert. He was the only TD who could sources the new dial!
  16. Btw, who can try to reproduce this wonderful pic with their rep!! ??
  17. I think that you are right, as I said in my post, It could be due to the angle of the picture.
  18. Doesn't matter where I draw the line, as long as I draw the same line on the rep and gen the results should be the same And btw, I am using the bracelet as a reference. the end links
  19. Here is the gen.. Looks like it is off the at the 6 too, or is it the angle of the picture?
