That is a once in a life time opportunity should you sell it..;-)
Edit: this is the link of the new model with gold on the side of the end links.

It does not have superlume, AR'ed cyclops like the newer versions have.
I am changing the standard dial that is on my DSSD to a dial with bigger hour markers because those look more accurate compared to the small hour makers that are on my dial at the moment
The plating is ok. 5 layers. But the quality of gold makes the difference. In general they use 18ct. Which is fine. I did see a new tt with a wrapped bracelet. I will look for you where I saw it!
Of course the gold will wear in time if you wear it daily. But a goldsmith can do wonders for your gold ;-)
Hi guys,
I am going to do a dial change on my BK DSSD.
Anyone interested in a little pictorial on "how to" because then I will make some pics during the process and add them here.
Maybe mention it with a pinned post in The introduction forum? I know we would all like to see people thanking without us having to tell them but we educate people here about all these beautiful reps.. Might as well educate them a bit about behaviour and manners ;-)
B.t.w. thank you
Andrew from tt has new ones, they are pretty good.
Only thing is that the bracelet aren't with wrapped gold anymore, or very hard to find.
Most of them are plated now, which means the sides of the midlinks are still silver. This especially visible on the end link
But there are with an AR'ed cyclops now and superlume. Nice to start with and perhaps maybe build one yourself later ;-)
BK checks the movement, puts on a new better dw, and checks the watch ( align the rehaut, straighten the 12 o'clock marker, straighten the cyclops. when necessary)
Andrew doesn't do that so you might have to do it yourself if it bothers you.
Besides that andrews has superlume, new improved pearl, and an AR'ed cyclops.
Make your pick ;-)
Looking great mate! They are finally taking the next step with rollies, better bracelet, AR cyclops. Better rehout engraving, Superlume is almost standard on most models now..
We are getting there
I have studied it the last few days.
It is definitely an improvement over the latest version. And it was needed too.. Only need a better bracelet/clasp ( like the new explorer 2) and BK dw and it is as good as it gets at the moment.
65 but I wouldn't buy! Because as you can see I received a wrong pearl and pbdad is claiming it's the correct one. So not happy at all.
But of course I could be mistaken about the pearl so hopefully some experts can chime in to give their opinion
The TC accepts gen dial, no problem.
I was just wondering if the a3135 v2 movement can somehow accept the noob dial, cutting of the feet? Don't know how that works
Ok, gen insert and gen hands and gen datewheel are on the way.
Now need a 3135 movement.. Will probably try and source the a3135 V2 that rolexman is going to review, but of course only if it's good.
Then the dial.. Will a noobdial fit the movement? Or only gen dial? Trying to keep the costs down at the moment. Gen dial is too expensive
