Haha I agree to all above...
I was just considering my options.
I know that if you buy a new a7750 that it still needs servicing.
So the minimum I have to pay either way is 200 plus repair maybe even more.
So that's half a new gen IWC mov. I now you can do math too..:-)
So that was it, just weighing the options 550 for new IWC mov of 200-250 for serviced/repaired A7750
The fitting is no problem, I can do that myself. But thanks for the suggestion and thinking with me!
I was comparing a new Asia 7750 mov with a new iwc mov. Chances then are that the new IWC mov is better then the Asia (off course )
Again I wasn't comparing eta 7750 with IWC but Asia 7750 with IWC mov.
It not like putting a Ferrari motor in a Toyota.
It's like putting an engine in a non specific car that will most certainly last longer then it's original engine.
Sourcing The movement is no problem. But like you say.. Is it worth it..
Or is servicing an Asian movement worth it considering the price of servicing is as expensive as an entire new movement.
And I do not do it to fool anybody in thinking it is gen.. Just for my own comforting knowing that there is some quality at work and not a ticking bomb.
But servicing is probably just as expensive as a new Asia 7750 right? Can also go for gen mov. But that's €550. Service in eu is €200 so maybe better to have a gen iwc movement then right?
First of all you really have to remove all the old paint from the logo.. I used paint thinner. Be carefull to not touch the crystal because you will lose the AR. Then I used a mix of copper and silver. I used revell model paint.
Fill the logo and wipe the excess paint with a cloth without hairs.
First mix up the copper and silver a few times to get the right colour. Make sure you ha e enough, then apply it!
Good luck!
Isn't about time that there is a brand forum created for Hublot?
There is more then enough interest in this brand for it's own forum don't you guys think?
Or am I totally wrong?
It is one of the best repp'd brands but it does not have it's own forum.
Now Hublot info is spread all over the forum in a lot of different topics.
So remember that if you vote no, you are actually voting against a better organised forum
Just a little suggestion from a very happy member;-)
This will probably be my next watch.
I have seen this watch for the first time 4 years ago on holiday in spain. A gen.
Have loved it ever since..
But first have to rake up some funds;-)
Wear it well! beautiful watch
bigger hour markers and perhaps the dial, but there are to gen versions of this dial. one is matte the other glossy so both are correct.
So just what you like best.
And a relume. Lume is good on the BK, I have one myself, but there is a difference with superlume.
That's about it. The BK DSSD is very good.
of course bracelet and clasp, but there isn't one like TC V3 available for a DSSD unfortunately.
They are both modded movement to make the gmt work. But I am not an expert so I would not now if the adjusted eta is more reliable then the Asian, it is for both advised to have it serviced upon arrival
