Thats not a bad price for one but you can get them cheaper d have a look at G's sale
I already bought one. Sad
-
You want an insert send me a pm. Used with tritium pearl. Do a search under my name for the sale thread and pics. Much cheaper then 180. New these are $125 from a dealer.
Titanium pearl? $125 for a genuine insert can't be true?
-
Ok. Thanks! I have decided to sell the whole watch and buy a TC or BK... thanks all
-
Looks terrible if you ask me. Poison green bezel and ugly dial color.
All the other flaws are still there.. Engravement on bezel is still not that smooth.
-
Sorry, but what is a wokky rehaut? Is the Case from the Ultimate Sea-Dweller better? If you don't see it don't care about it. As soon you see it it will border you like hell.
border?Oh bother....Wokky rehaut means the inner engravements are a ugly.
-
Very reasonable. They are getting hard to find and also the average price is 250.00 sealed
It's for a 16610. I assume it will fit on a TC Sub without modding?
Thanks.

Found a genuine Rolex 16610 Submariner insert. Brand new and sealded
180 usd
Would that be a reasonable price?
Please lemme know cause I'm afraid it will be sold quick.

Hi all,
I really need new hands for my ultimate Sea Dweller since the stock hands are really bad. TC sells them for $50 but including shipping is way over my budget. Who knows a good source or who has a pair for sale ?
Thanks
-
Does anybody have one for sale? Either LV or black bezel. PM me please. Or BK...
-
Thank you! That was all i wanted to know.
So type 1 is still an option but where can I get a decent insert?? How much does a gen inser cost?
-
Hi all,
I'd like to buy a TC Sub as soon as possible but I'm a bit confused. There is Type I and a Type II. Both maxi dial but Type II has sanded off rehaut. Why would you want to sand of the rehaut engravement? Cause I see LV Subs with rehaut and without.. Why is that?
And as far as I know should the LV Sub have a green insert instead of a black insert...
Who can explain me?
Thnx

Ok i'm glad the recessed datewheel can be fixed.
With that fixed this watch is stunning!!!!!
-
Thanks. I will ask my watchsmith for this. Would this be a hard job for a watchsmith? I assume they never do these 'strange' things..
-
Ok. TC dwo has marks on it to center it right. So maybe I can lay the V2 upon the V1?
Which glue should I use? TC says that you have to buy 3 combo for practice. http://blog.tc-sub.com/2012/07/15-tc-rolex-font-date-wheel-overlay.html Please tell me something more about your dial and hands?
-
@ Ephry73
So it's just the dw that's lower/less thick? Will a TC dwo fix this? Does 'overlay' mean that I have to lay it upon the current dw? So glueing 2 dw upon each other?
I'm sorry this is totally new for me.
-
It wouldn't be difficult to raise the dwo, or file down the dial spacer a little.. Or use a dial space from a 2824 as they are a little thinner.
What do you mean with 'use a dial space from a 2824 as they are a little thinner.'?
What if you lay a TC dwo upon the stock dwo?
-
Mine never had a recessed date wheel. Never heard of it being a problem on Sea Dweller reps.
Strange. Me neither. But this one is slightly recessed. Let's say 1mm too low. But my previous 21J SD didn't had this. This one is the 2836.
I'm very curious if this is a movement issue or maybe something else. Would be great if I can solve it with a TC DWO or something.
-
Just went round and round slowly with a Dremel and a sanding drum. Turned out not to be too difficult and the sanded edge is hidden by the case.
That would definitely not a job for me
Have you any idea if there is a fix for the recessed date wheel?
-
I put in TC dial and hands in my SSD and couldn't be happier. Very close to gen and long lasting lume. The dial isn't a direct fit though. You'll need to take off about a 1/2 mm all around. I don't know about the new ultimate SD as far as the size goes.
Shaving the dial???? holy fck how can you do that without messing up the whole dial?
-
TC hands are as good as gen rolex lumi ones in my oppinion
Thanks. I think I will order them.
Has anyone else the 2836-2 with the sunken date wheel?
Really no way to fix this? Maybe with TC date wheel overlay?
-
Does TC lume glow longer? Yes the standard lume is quite strong but doesn't last long.
-
Well maybe I go for TC hands and dial indeed. Is the lume much better then the original replica lume on the ultimate sea dweller?
And the datewheel is a bit sunken.. Is that normal on the 2836-2 movement? Is there any solution for that? Does TC crown + tube fit without modifications?
-
Who knows where I can source new hands for the ultimate Sea Dweller?
TC charges $50 for the hands and $100 for the hands + dial. Will that be worth it?
Are there any other sources perhaps?
My current hands are a bit too greenish. Dial looks great though.
Thanks!

Does the V3 have an other Asian 7750 movement ?? Are they all from the same factory?
I would not spend so much on a gen ETA btw.. Or gen strap.
$180 for a genuine Rolex insert

I saw G's insert for $125 but that one had marks of use... So 180 brand new is not that bad?
I also read that AD will replace an insert for less then 100 bucks? That's cheap!
