Who is going to pay 3200 Euros? A whole lot of WIS's! As already explained by a couple of the previous posts, Seiko have been selling their Grand Seiko for YEARS now! The quality and workmanship of these watches have been compared with Rolex for years now and every single review I've read have said the Seiko are better. A true WIS doesn't look merely at the brand name but further into the movement and workmanship. Trust me, Seiko have won ALOT of respect for this new movement and is worth every cent of the $3000+ price tag. It won watch the prestigous *2006 watch of the of year* award @ TimeZone where it beat watches there were $300,000+. Theres only 1 shop in Australia that sells the Springdrive, I've tried it and it is bloody nice. It is a pretty big watch, must be around 43mm and is pretty thick! As discribed workmanship is as good as any of the more expensive watches I've handled. The second hand sweeps asoooooooo smoothly. The basic model sells for $4400 I think in Australia and in my honest opinion worth every cent!

Another point I'd like to make before I shut up... I am sure 99.9% of the people here buys/collect reps for their personal enjoyment and not with the intention of ripping people off. Those that sell reps as gen on ebay and stuff are scums and are the kind of losers that give the rep community the bad name.

I applaude you for admitting up to it, it takes a lot of guts and I too apologise for my harsh words in the intital post. No hard feelings? This is where I beg to differ, and please don't take what I am going to say personally. I mean the FA Jones is a $10k+, if you are stupid enough to buy a $10k watch over ebay or the internet with out doing your research, you deserve to be scammed! I know it may sound harsh, but if someone thinks they can purchase a $10k for $500, 600, 700, 1000, 2000 or 3000 without much research, he/she probably got too much money and too little sense. If you look through Trusty's, eddie's, josh's or anyone of our dealer's site, you'll probably find a couple hundred of reps? Does this mean someone needs to post each one of these watches at Timezone to *educate* people? Think about it dude? Sure, if someone in TZ ASKS if a particular watch is a rep or not, sure put your hand up and *educate* them. As per Richard Tracy's post, WIS @ timezone and WIS here don't mix well. We are different people with different moral judgement. Many, if not most of us here in RWG collect both rep AND gens and we are open about it in this forum, try posting a msg in TZ and see how warm of reception you'll get. Yes. The SS version is the most accurate. Although I like the silver hands better =p.

As per watcher71. Blue for SS Black for Platinum Gold for Rose Gold version But the engraving is only correct for the SS one, the engraving is 177/3000 or something which is only true for SS model. Production for rose good is 1000 and 500 for Platium. Cheers

@cwai02 - lets just forget about the loser and move on and enjoy the watch mate, its not worth getting all worked up for it. Hmm... I was thinking, I need a strap... a nice 22mm gator to go with this watch. What do you guys reckon? A honey brown (aka oem colour)? Darker brown, Red brown or black? Is it just me or does a black gator never really show off the grain as well as a red brown or a honey brown. Thanks

Can't recommend eddie enough, he has replied all my emails all within 30mins. He is a machines I am telling ya! BTW, just checked out this watch at the AD and it is bloody nice, they had the rose gold version, very very classy. Pretty big too, nice, very nice!

Hmm.... my VERY significant other wasn't very hapy with my first purchase also so all my watches get sent to work! Ha, I have a mini collection in the draw at my work. I wear my gen to work in the morning, swap between my rep collection during the day and put my gen back on when i go home.... Its a sad sad life =) hehe

I don't think the hands (hour, mins or secs) are even attached to the pinion! I think they are just resting on the dial hence them not being straight. But looks funny to me regardless =) cheers

@ bertieng - These are men dials, no doubt about it. But the answer we all waiting for is where/who to get them from?

Those are gen dials, as per elink, the numbers are a bit finner and thinner on the gen. Who is selling these and how much may I ask?

Genuinely stupid question here. How do I manually wind up an auto watch? Do I just loosen the screwdown crown and just wind the crown? Do I do this anti or clockwise? I've tried this but doesn't seem to charge up the watch, should I be hearing a clicking noise? or a grinding noise? Thanks

Thats for everyones' posts, certainly added some ideas to my head. Some of the recommended watches are just a little too old/classic looking for me, I am 23. I quite like the gold FM actually, can any body add any comments on the accuracy of this piece? Is the blue hands an instand giveaway? Also, surprising that no one is backing the FA Jones or the 183?

Hi guys, I have a (very) small collection of gen and rep watches at the moment. Speedy Pro, speedy date, IWC GST Ti, FM Conquistador. I have had a 40mm PAM and Rolex EXPII in the past. As you can see, they are mainly sporty, chrono type watches. I thought the FM would dress up my collection a bit but it is way too bling, not that it is a bad thing. I love it to death but I want a dressy alternative! Now I am looking for a nice dressy watch, something classy but will not draw too much attendion under a suit, something on leather... I was thinking PAM183 or a rose gold FA Jones BUT are they too big for me? I have a 6.5" wrist. So what do you guys think? Whats dressy watch do you wear? Entertain me! =) Cheers everyone.

Also ignor the fact that the guy is trying to sell the watch for $900 =) BTW, whats the serial number of your watch? I've seen a couple of different ones already on this rep, but want to know if they use the same serials for all watches or not? Mine is 6309.
