T - don't beat yourself up over this - you have acted honourably. Not many people will put their money where their mouth is. You charged a fair price and put yourself out for the community. My crown arrived today and I will be installing in tomorrow and when the T48 is done - I will be getting one of them.

I have an old broken PAM 089 (SS Version) and have ordered a "V" H series crown guard. I could use the case, the bracelet, the crystal and CG. I don't know a lot about Panerai models. What parts (Dial, Case back, Movement) could I add to these to build a good quality PAM ?

I bought one of these last year and had to source and fit the larger springbars. I have been wearing the watch daily for 4 months but I have found the two small bands that hold down the strap keep tearing. One of them is now beyond repair. I wonder if there is a better quality strap coming out . The gen is too expensive.

Where do you source these 24-703 crowns other than ebay?

I am looking to buy the gen tube and crown from Ofrei. The case number in my UPO is 168.1682, however this doesn't match any of his listings. He does list crown and tubes to fit the model 2209.50.00 which is the 42mm PO - will these match?

I got this from Silix. I originally ordered the White but he sent me the Black and although it took a few weeks, he sent me this White dial. I think the hour numbers are too thin especially the ends of the 3, 6 and 9. My dilemma is that I want to superlume the dial, but which one - I prefer the White one but think the Black one is closer to the gen.

I received this week a White VCO dial to swap into a black faced Watch that was sent in error. The Black face is the new upgraded V4 version. Somehow this white dial looks different. The hour numbers look like they are a different shape and the Cross is different (more angular). Also the ' mark which is missing on the e in Geneve for the V4 is on this one. Is this a poorer copy ?

I am definitely in for my VCO. Just need to get the crystal popped.

I also received a black dial watch instead of the white face one that I ordered. But Jay has said that he will mail me the White face. I am not worried - I trust Jay, and it would be nice to have both options. Maybe he is temporarily out of stock on the White dial. One question, are the hands on the Black version the same as the White ?

Good to hear Drop's news - I ordered my White VCO at the end of May , so maybe I will get tracking info soon ! If the crystal is one side AR coated, does this mean to get a double coating you coat the other side or do you remove the AR coat and get it double side coated ?

I too was nearly taken in by their clever web. First of all, I believed their fake review site that had BlueFakes as the number 1. Then I went to purchase an Explorer II, but got a bad feeling when I went to pay for it. I backed out just in time, but not before giving them my Email address. They must sell these addresses since I have being getting SPAM every day since. Luckily, I found RWG and have bought some great reps for a fraction of the Bluefakes price.

Oh Dear. I have just placed, yesterday, my first order with him for the PO rubber strap and a Fendi. His E mails are slow 1-2 days late but I guessed that he is a "one man" operation rather than the industry that Andrew and Josh have. The advantage is lower prices and persional attention - just hope the delivery is OK.

If I wanted to swap the broken ST25 movement in my SS PAM 089. What ETA movement would give an identical fit/configuration to the case, dial and hands. Where could I purchase ?

Discovered that it was my FireWalls parental control setting that didn't allow proxy avoidance systems (i.e. photobucket website) that was causing this problem. Hope this helps others..............
