Also the sound of the bezel rotating gives the game away. It isn't quite right. Perhaps the tension in the Rolex spring is different, or the notches are sharper.

All I know is I wanna get out of work, go home and slap a gen insert in it.
Woof mine didn't fit. I had to reduce the diameter slightly ...
-
Clasp is definitely a v3, swiss made space and different clasp code, PJ4 vs DE6 of v2.
TC says 9 out of 10 need to be trimmed, maybe yours are the other 1
Hmmm ... if it is rarer is it worth more?
-
Well I want a V3 if it's only a V2 and I want it right now

Oops. Sorry. Can't even imagine how good the V3 is then. I've asked TC to be sure.
-
Edit, just seeing your pics now masters, the stampings look very very good.
It is an amazing piece.

PS Only reason some of the screws aren't flush is I was resizing it...

Okay give me 2 minutes. Pics coming up. Just no swearing when you see the dial I have temporarily put in the TC Sub
-
Correct, all subs after 2005 as far as I know do not have the stamp on the last link.
Thanks I never knew that. In that case the V3 is unbelievable.

Not sure why you epoxied the dial; maybe you had no choice, but you can get dial feet that stick on. I'll show you a pic of my 1680 dial with the 2824 feet stuck on.

Should add that the only downside is the missing ref on the final bracelet links i.e. no 93150 stamps. Probably a good thing as otherewise they would end up on Ebay being described as real and nobody would realise.

I've had real trouble fitting a gen insert to my new TC Sub. Fantastic watch overall but sorry to say I gave up and reduced the diameter of the gen insert as I don't have the tools to increase the internal diameter of the bezel.
-
Yep. A gmt click spring works fine. I've had one on all my gen subs as I love bidirectional bezels. Clark's are not as stiff as a gen which makes turning in both directions easier.
Love what you've done there with the classic dial.

PS TJ feel free to send it over for a free lume if it is salvageable We've had some good chats and it will be a pleasure to make her sparkle again

Favorite watch of all time. Looks fantastic.

No pics yet but it's the same as in the pics in the thread. However pics alone don't do it justice IMO. My sub only arrived 2 days ago. Normally you'd open the packet and say "wow, look at that sub". Well, I opened the packet and just went "wow look at that bracelet". The sub is great too. Before I saw this thread I was boring my gf telling her how close the bracelet is and how amazing that is after all these years of crappy ones... This thread just saved her skin

Pics, does it fit your sub without mods?
I bought the TC Sub too and of course it fits perfectly. It fits like a genuine one. I've had tonnes of real subs and I would never buy a real strap again after receiving this one (as part of the sub). It looks and feels expensive. Have just emailed TC for two bracelets on their own but I guess he is swamped with orders as I haven't had a reply yet.

Just got my V3. Absolutely amazing. Blown away. Stunning quality and soooo close to the real deal.
Thank you TC. You've a few more emails off me too
16800 project shelved...

Hahahah we are definitely brothers. I have to come away with "something" too. With your dial and my graveyard of broken 2824 movements we could start a joint operation
