Definitely one of the best reps ever made. Great Pics BT.

What I did was to use a crystal press to push the crystal through the tabs. I push the tabs back after re-installing the crystal. It works without obvious damage on the SOSF but this method messed up the tabs on my seawolf avenger.
Did the tabs bend on your SFSO bezel?
-
I understand that removing the bezel from a SFSO is a pain in the [censored] and in some case, if not done right, can severely damage the bezel.
Instead of removing the bezel to get to the crystal, can one just pop the 4 tabs off to get to the crystal? Once removed, just glue the tabs back onto the bezel. Is this possible?

You can always find used SMP quartz dials on the bay. I found a couple (white and blue). A decent quartz movement will $30-$40. Pick up some gen hands for another $50 and you're good to go.

Awesome !!! Makes me regret selling my bird.

Woody - Here's a used gen dial for sale on ebay - SMP Chrono

These dials come alot on ebay - gen dials for cheap. Check out ebay.

Are you kidding me? Not only should this guy be reported - he should be tarred and feathered for trying to sell something so crappy.
-
You would wonder why the factories dont pay more attention to Omegas like they did with the Breitlings that just came out recently. Damn shame.
-
I wouldnt classify this auction as a scam. WHy? Not only is he selling a rep - well, he even says its a rep.

The SOH V2 already has a 2824 movement inside - be it a clone, but it's a 2824. From what i read, they're just as good as the ETA version.
However, if you do want to swap for the ETA version - everything will fit fine - hands, movement, dial, etc. However, you will need to have your watch smith to swap date discs from the Asian clone to the ETA movement.

Man, these are very nice, but I've learned my lesson with Omega After modding and building with gen parts, the finished project usually comes out costing only slightly less than buying a used gen
Tell me about it !!!

Mary is awesome ! Great communication and prompt service. Highly recommended.

Not too sure to be honest. If not, you can always use the gen insert. Those will fit.

One of the best reps ever made as well as one of the most sought after reps were always the closed case Seamasters. The reps were built with the correct HE vavle, Crown Guards and bracelets I have ever seen. However, all good things must come to an end. The factory was shut-down and we were then forced to get reps with incorrect HE valves, crappy CGs and crappier bracelets. I was able to buy a couple where I then proceeded to sell them for other projects (I was a young noob back then - didnt know better ).
Then, about a year or two, a seller on Ioffer was selling SMPs with the correct HE valve. A number of members did receive the correct case, however many of us received inferior versions. So the search continued.
I was able to manage to get about 3-4 more closed cases where I then created some franken Seamasters - including my white & blue Seamasters (see Omega Section) and a couple of Electric Blue Seamasters. However, there were no more cases.
Until now.....
There is a dealer under the Apprentice Dealers named Watch International. When viewing her photos, I noticed a Seamaster (v2531) with the correct HE valve and better CGs. I sent her mail requesting pics. She did indeed confirm that the HE valve was past the 10 marker.
So I ordered an ETA Clone 2531 (even though I already have a closed case with the gen dial).
Here's a pic of the watch from her forum - SMP
The bracelet is not the same, in terms of quality & detail, as the bracelets from years past, but big deal. I rather have then correct HE valve and great looking CGs - you can always swap the bracelet for something else (i.e. rubber strap, leather strap, etc.)

If its an ETA - there should be two hooks that you slide out.
And yes, you can place the no date dial onto the movement without modding the datewheel.
-
If its the same config at the ETA 2894, then why the sunken datewheel?
-
Some dealers have the quartz version.....
-
Can you see the marker? If you can't do it, have someone remove the movement and pop the marker back in. The marker has two pins that can be inserted in the two holes for the marker on the dial.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Zig and everyone. I had a call from my bank once when i made a purchase using moneybookers too in the past. Ill call Paypal back and let them know i bought a lens for my camera - that's it. Ill say i dont feel safe disclosing any more info and that i answered all of their questions.
-
It might just be a routing audit check as dludduy indicated above. I will them its a lens that i bought for my camera, which i bought using paypal earlier in the day. Other than that - i will not disclose any additional information.
-
Well, I selected "goods" when i made payment last night, so I cant say it was for a service.
-
Thanks D. What did you tell them?
Well, I did buy a new Nikon SLR earlier in the day...so I can say that I bought a lens for $275 from a seller on Ioffer.
-
Just got a call from Paypal asking me if I made a payment last night (which I did) and asked what I purchased. I told the lady that I was on a call and i would call back.
Has anyone ever received a call from PP? I sent payment to one of our dealers on the site.
