Metatechnical cabinet is great too. Most movements have the name of the company signed under the balance. But just study up here and on other forums!

Crazy! I'm only 18 and remember dial up and getting those free Internet disks from AOL lmao! I used to actually use floppy disks...

We had 21 years of Internet?! Lol

Lmao! That perfect In all the forums. I can't get away from it. Lol

Not to forum bash but, I'm seeing a new trend at watchuseek. seems to be one mod who is mod power happy and likes the words "thread closed". And someone posted a thread about it asking why he closes threads that are just dandy and he closed that one too. His reason? "not supposed to question moderator actions" Sorry for the rant. But I couldn't post it there or my thread would be closed Regards Shane

How many reps did you buy before you bought a Rolex rep?
stratct replied to Texas1999's topic in General Discussion
None lol. I just got my first rep today. It's a bad one lol. It was cheap and from the 70s so I thought "whatever" and got it for $25 it's quartz... But an old quartz. -
That must have taken forever!

A homage IMO has some different stylings than the original.

Exactly. That's why I like it here. You guys are cool

I thought it was a regular watch forum (an alternative to WUS) but I was wrong lol. I like it here tho

After spending some time on this forum I have noticed you guys are into replica watches (a lot of you) I have to admit that I was turned off a little, but then I started reading some threads and found out that you guys are NOT posers and these reps are just for fun. After all, people on other forums take watches way too seriously... Lol

WOW!!!! when did that go up in price?! -
There's a tab. All you have to do is push on it and remove the crown. The tab has a pin sized dimple.
-
It could go ether way. It looks like it could be a snap back or a top loader. You CAN use a putty knife to pop off the crystal IF it's a top loader. The back could be a snap back and you should be able to use a caseback opener. Although you can use a pocket knife..... Don't cut yourself. It's easy

Vintage manual wind omega stuck
stratct replied to sor@mail.technion.ac.il's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
An easier way to remove the movement without bending the retainer is when you split the crown, take a needle or small screwdriver and push the stem back in place. The movement should fall out. My Benrus is a top loader.- 14 replies
