Interesting, thanks panerai153 and freddy333 ! I guess I need to just be a little more complacent with the DW and just get the stem fixed! I have a clark 21 ready to be swapped so I will just send it along with the watch to get serviced. I will however be starting from scratch on a 6265. I have zeroed in on the dial I want to use (Phong) I just need a case to start with, without breaking the bank! If anyone has a link to where I can find a cartel case, please post! Thanks again!

So, I have a DW 6239 that I am looking to mod as much as I can without breaking the bank. It is a standard A7750 movement with the rotor removed, however it seems like the stem is too short because it will not wind unless I hold it out in the position where it screws down to the case, without it screwing down (if that makes sense), and the chronos are stuck.....the member who sold it to me should have warned me..... I have communicated with some modders who are willing to fix the problem for me, however I want more done. I have a Clark 21 crystal ready to be installed, but I am also looking at a Phong PN 6239 dial (http://jewelryandwatch.com/contents/en-us/d74_01.html). Will this fit on a A7750 movement in a DW case? Is there another movement that's not insanely expensive that would fit this case that would be better and give it some weight? I am open to suggestions or if anyone has some parts to sell me I would love to take a look.

+1 Same boat..... 7750 in my dw 6239 has not died on me, but I do not think the stem is long enough because it won't wind!

Still looking... In further inspection, it looks like the DW 7750 has had the rotor removed (which I have learned is common, in an effort to reduce the thickness of the case). The second position of the crown will not let me wind the watch so I have to maneuver it in the most inward position and hold it such that it does not screw down...in short, it is very difficult to wind this watch. So, if I get a rotor for this 7750 movement will it fit/work? If not, does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement movement? I can source all parts if a modder can do the work on this for me.. Thanks!

I have a DW 6239, that I cannot wind, frequently stops on me and choro won't run. Needs repair! I am located in Texas. Thanks in advance !

+1 my stock DW has a shotty movement, chrono works till about the 4:00 position then poops out. I would be interested in a modder who can install a gen crystal, service movement (or even swap out if I buy the correct one!) and slightly age the dial. Love this piece but it needs some help! I have a DW 6239 on the way in a M2M next door on RG. My question is, is it possible to age a bezel to look similar to this? Paint out of the bezel like the picture below.... I know that some light touching up with a dish-washing sponge can take some of the shine out but I do not want to go that far. And the one I have on the way...Very excited.

might I ask where you got a gen crystal? I see some on ebay but not sure of the authenticity or if they are the correct ones for a 6239. Thanks in advance!
