Not a Patek guy but I can tell you rule of thumb is stay away from plated w/ any rep. This being said if you are only going to wear for special occasions it should hold up well for everyday I would not go w/ gold of any hue. As far as color being on that I can not speak to.

 If you have the skill to replace play around with it no big $ to lose and yes nice looking watch.

Yes it is nice trip , bar on board! Lewes is a great town like Cape May but nicer for eating and shopping IMHO. One down side 50 bucks each way on ferry for the wife car & I.

When a 2813 is bad you only need one tool, take it out hit w/ a hammer buy another.................in this case not worth it that watch is 35 dollars just buy another.
