This is why the knowledge of vintage rolex on RWG is second to none.

Yes it is! They make fun calling us "the knitting circle"on RWG bz I always say our guys are in "ivory towers pondering builds" those lemmings are buying the latest V whatever the dealers put out. We are the brain trust of the rep world this has never disputed successfully a matter of they don't go there, they know deep down where the expertise is.

I stride proudly through the rep world representing RWG cc.  w/ you guys behind me.  :notworthy:

I was assuming that this watch would sell quite poorly due to how [censored] of a rep it is in all honestly which pushes down the chances of a V2, as does the size of the watch. Rep factories have seemed to be making far fewer smaller watches compared to big watches in recent times

The trend is smaller watches at least to those in the know, the day of big ones is on the decline give it a few years ................... as far as factories they will cater to the numbers for now but those who are buying gen are going smaller they will catch up.

The whole point is to offer cheaper reps instead of high price gens in demand , so when the smaller tread takes hold they will follow.

I think not all gen parts and replica parts are created equal. There are some extremely nice watches here, like the Daytonas and big crowns.. builds that cost thousands, yet do not meet the criteria for "Frankenstein", although they are in many cases more beautiful and more accurate than builds with >50% gen parts.

In my view, the selection of parts, modding, fitment, and the aesthetic eye to maintain balance and pull everything together in the finished watch, is far more important than counting the number of gen parts. In the end, it matters very little to me if it's classified as rep, franken, genstein, etc.

Some watches take less to get there than others and I mean to get tells down to the minimum. Still more gen the better as it's gen no tell there what so ever on that part.

  4. They are in a numbers game (make a bunch all the same/ cheaper) so they do not do custom this is metal not cloth/leather. I guess you could get a gold AP band for that model without the bling and I do not know if possible put those diamond middle links in it and no I doubt they are going to do it for you. Now you have another problem are the diamond and plain gold bracelets made to the same specs.................. QC being what it is over there who knows different factory maybe again only one way to find out.

  5. Faster we sort of have as a group an aversion to gold of course some have a few I would say very few are into it heavy. This being said buy what you like what ever microns it has it will wear off in time. Some maybe be better than others and it could also be one batch of a certain watch that holds up better, these are reps QC and application of the plating process vary from batch to batch even of the same model. As far as your link looks OK for the price . Have you had rose gold before / I thought I'd like it bought a fairly in expensive Gen one didn't work for me like regular gold tone better goes with my other stuff like my wedding band, just a heads up from my experience with gold .

PS if you were conus I'd send it over for you to try the tone out for a bit.

  6. " In the replica world 'gold wrap' equals mostly heavily wrapped BS. " LOL love that line and for the most part true but in regard to TT bracelets meant side of links gold so wrapped , plated ones were silver on sides big tell. But as the guys have stated correctly doesn't mean crap about quality/amount of gold used on the watch this was just our way of differentiating between the two bracelets. I am sure a lot of you guys remember the big to do over a deal w/ one of those TT bracelets years back by two know member. What a shit storm with me in the hot sit as mod in charge of sorting it out, the above wrapped gold on side of links /plated none to tell your buyer what he was getting became pretty much accepted all over because everyone was reading these guys go at it.
