  1. Hi Neil, i know i could buy from you and it would be the wisest thing to do if i hadn't a credit to spend with another dealer (and of course if you were disposed to ship to me and you got the watch in stock). That's why for now i haven't considered to buy your fixed watch. I wish i could spend that credit in other watch and also buy the smp from you...but i'm too penniless currently . Thanks a lot for your explanation, i won't try that fix by myself, also considering that another guy messed his watch up trying to do the same mod.
  2. Hi mate , i'm not sure i can make the second part with no damage for the watch. I prefer not to use a knife with a new beauty like that. Thanks
  3. I'm going to purchase the new SMP chrono and being aware of the alignment issue i was wondering if it's an easy fix. I'm afraid fixes are two: - bezel alignment - remove and stick back in the correct position the blue bezel insert I'm worried about latter fix. Replica: Genuine:
  4. uhmmm I wonder if the problem could get worst with time...and some more patina could raise in other parts of the dial near the edge...
  5. Mahler, it's easier if you show me differences between genuine and replica.
  6. Usil it happened the same to me, before choosing i thought a lot cause i liked all the models. At the end i pulled the trigger on the panda as it's the most accurate (now i'm selling it but it's another story..). If you like that watch you can choose any one of em and hardly get disappointed.
  7. I fully share this lad's opinion You sure?
  8. Try to ask to your local opticians, probabily the quickest and cheapest solution. However if you got the watch with a screw missing the dealer should make some more effort to help you.
  9. You sure? It's a beautiful watch.
  10. I'm a fool. You were fully right, it works. Thanks mate
  11. Hi r11co, there's already a data wheel in the movement. But it doesn't work. I presume it's been disabled.
  12. Hi all, i disassembled a watch with a 2892. Movement, probabily seagull, has date wheel not working as watch hadn't date window. Now i wish to use this movement with another dial with date window. Can i make it works? Is it an easy fix? Thank you
  13. Good taste , i've had (actually it belongs to my father) the railmaster for 2 months and i love it. Your version is newer and it has ar coating. Diameter should be about 39mm.
  14. Nice watch, it's a pity there's no smaller version.
  15. Thanks, very helpful hint.
  16. No, it's not white but from certain angles it looks like white.
  17. Viva il Bel Paese, il cibo, le donne e le sue bellissime città d'arte. Anche il mare non è male, soprattutto il sud Italia e le isole.
  18. http://www.dotcom-life.com/joyful-watch/ma...14-001-0002.jpg Zoom in and you can see white is not white but a tone very close to replica's. I had another clearer pic, i'll post as soon as i find it. I sent you a private message.
  19. However it's not so evident , it's due mainly to pics when dial is under sun beans. I'm looking for a pic i had where you can see that pearl-shiny in a gen.
  20. Yes, well made and one of the most accurate rep. If you're used to dressy watch you'll be satisfied. I'm selling it as i realized i'm not much for that kind of watches even though i like it very much. You're welcome.
  21. I've never seen in the flesh but it's the one i like least in replica version (personal opinion, of course). Three the reasons: gold colour is not so accurate, finishes are not so good (look close at the hands and you see what i mean), subdials are not enough recessed and it's very evident with white/grey subdials (in panda and laureus is not so evident). Also subdials colour tone looks different from genuine (it's just an impression, i'm not sure of that). Similar feelings for the Porto with blue hands: blue and finishes could be better: i know it's a rep but if i had to choose one Porto and accuracy was for me the most important aspect i would get another model, Panda or Laureus. If i had to get a genuine Porto, i'd get the one with blue hands and white/grey dial.
  22. No way. It's likely the most accurate Portuguese replica. Here are some genuine pics:
  23. There're tons of superb shots around but i wanted to share with you some pics i took 2 days ago: i'm anything but a good photographer however sharing pics is one of the strenghts of this board. Watch's currently for sale but i think it really worths every cent.
  24. It looks the same watch for all dealers.
  25. Thanks lads, you reassured me a little bit.
