okay I figured out how to get the month and day set. Those are just the push buttons. I dont understand how to get the year and day yet though.

I just got my set in the mail. Both are slightly different. One movement is by Savoy watch co and the other is Wittnauer watch co. Very similar movements. Both hand wound, 17 jewel. The crowns are just screw in ornaments, not real crowns. I was hoping to wind these up and see if they'd actually move while I work them, but no luck. Very cool though. Ill have to take some pics on my shirt tonight.

AFAIK Canada has even more liberal law regarding reps than the US. I doubt that you were in much danger. I supposed that's really the key. Know your local laws.

I think it has alot to do with what country you live in. If a AD seized my watch in the US, I think I'd be calling the cops. You're not breaking any laws by wearing it around. Other countries mere possession is illegal so YMMV.

If I really really wanted a seconds at 6 model, I would seriously consider removing the extra gear drives for the subdials once I got it. That should up the reliability factor, but you lose some functions. Have to decide what is important I guess.

I beg to differ. You can just as easily argue that's its free advertising. Besides that's a very difficult thing to quantify.

Just a small quibble, but WE aren't stealing money from the Gen companies. Its the people making and selling the reps that are doing it. After all we are not the ones profiting on the sale. Depending on your various local laws you may be committing various other crimes though.

Forgot to mention Im talking about the chrono versino.

So I noticed some of the links have the tach on the outer bezel, while others have the tach under the crystal on the inner bezel. Going to the official tag site I can see both of them. So what it the difference between these two styles. Did one type only come in certain colors? I'd hate to spoil an otherwise outstanding rep by buying a tach style in a color is didnt come in.

Well, if you're buying from a dealer/member in the US I can't think of any. Laws will have been broken, but not by you. (Individual state laws aside.)

So Im looking for a watch that comes on bracelet that isn't silver or gold. Any suggestions? Ive seen a few watches that came on black bracelets, but no reps. Im open to silver/black combo's too. I just have too many watches on silver (or titanium) bracelets, dont like gold and want something different.

FWIW I dont think your poll choices have a low enough price option for a bag that size. It would have to be exception quality to get much more than about $30 I think. Leather stuff is generally pretty cheap.
