Hope you don't mind me crashing your thread, sgt. I've just received a UPO 42mm from Andrew, that I ordered on behalf of a mate. It was my fourth purchase from Trusty, & I can absolutely reinforce everything you are saying. The guy is a dead set gentleman. Always quick replies, (no matter what time of day, I don't know when he sleeps!) & seamless transactions. I had the watch in my hands 8 days after my initial email inquiry. (I'm in Sydney). Gotta be happy with that. I emailed Andrew to thank him for such quick, courteous service, & even got a reply to that, within an hour! So if anyone was contemplating purchasing from Trusty, all I can say is, go ahead, you can order with confidence. Oh, & I hear what you're saying about the wife......................good luck with that!
BTW THIS IS NOT A PAID ADVERTISEMENT FOR TRUSTYTIME
I second that, my last dealing with TT was smooth as silk! 8 days from order to wrist.

Good god, thats lovely

I think to keep costs down I would be looking to go without a buckle. I'm getting excited about this project now, thanks for all the interest!

Would the 20/16 be for a Rolex?
Yes, the 20mm will need to be thinner than the 24mm to allow fitment on Rolex lugs, probably 3mm vs 5mm

I'd definitely be in on a 20/16mm in brown or dark grey at 39 GBP. As for the RWG exclusive label - I'd prefer it branded on the back side of the strap so it is there no matter what buckle I use..
Yes, that was my initial thought too. Maybe an RWG stamp of some sort on the rear.
I think 2 sizes in the same style will be feasible, so 20/16 and 24mm
I working on a prototype as we speak and will keep you posted.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think that 20 mm is the way to go. I'm taking delivery of some new English cow hide today and I have just mixed a batch of olive drab dye, I'm really looking forward to seeing the outcome and will check soon for opinions about making it the RWG exclusive!

Yes, could be grey or maybe an olive green?

For a good price I would be interested in the RWG Strap of Honor! Maybe it's an idea to donate a part of the price to RWG?
You read my mind!
How does £39 sound with 10% to RWG?
-
Devil I didn't know u made straps, we need to talk, maybe a trade of some sorts.
Defo Mike, sounds a plan!

Ok, so 20mm seems like a popular choice.
Colours?

Ok, so what about 2 sizes, both the same design. 20 and 24mm?

UPDATE:
Now Available. See page 2 for details.
Im just gauging interest in this really but I had a idea last night that I thought I would broach with RWG Members.
As some of you know I make Custom Straps under the name Devilseam. Up until recently I was a gen guy and would only buy gen watches, I frequented WUS and TZUK on a regular basis. Then to get my company off the ground, I had to sell most of my collection to help fund it, thats when I found RWG, thinking that a rep watch would be a cost effective way of owning watches I still really liked, but on a budget.
Well, like most of us on here I got bitten by the bug, rep watches, modding, taking watches apart, building frankens, searching for gen parts. Im well and truly hooked and doubt I'll ever go back to my old ways.
Anyway, the idea I had whilst laying in bed last night (yes I think about watches in bed! But I bet im not the only one!) was to design, with the input of rwg members and make a limited edition run of straps only available to RWG members. Im thinking 24mm due to it being the most popular and made from english cow hide to save on cost and to give a uniform look as opposed to ammo leather, other than that im open to ideas.
Please feel free to shoot be down in a huge ball of flames if this is a stupid idea and I will immediatly go outside and bury my in head in the garden.

I have one of TC's SD bracelets and the quality is immense, he really does have some impressive stuff.
-
I read that an owner of the SSD fitted an MG25-295 from Jules borel, have any owners of the SLSD gone down this road?
Might give the TC crystal a go too.
-
I'm about to send my superlumed SD off for a service and have a gen crown and insert plus tc's 16600 dial and hands fitted.
Whilst its there I thought about replacing the crystal, I have read that some people have struggled to fit a gen crystal but I wondered if anyone had fitted an aftermarket gen spec crystal such as a clarks or sternkreuz that is better quality than the rep crystal?
If anyone has pics I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Wow someone may have picked up a bargain, wish it was me!
Makes you wonder what some sellers are thinking though, selling a 15k AP on eBay with just one pic

Cool. How to you mod the case to accept the gen assembly?
