  1. ...and I'm psyched. It's my first replica, so I was considering going with a Beginmariner or Noobmariner, but I like the SMP a lot more than the Sub, I'm a little iffy about going too cheap because I want my watch to last me a while, and I figured if I was going to make an investment like this (I work at Walgreens for eight bucks an hour; spending into the three-digit range is not light shopping for me), I might as well buy something I'm going to really love instead of throwing $100 at a test-drive watch that I ultimately won't be 100% satisfied with. I already can't wait to get it in the mail, and it hasn't even shipped out yet. I'll try to post some pictures as soon as I get it.

    Hi Danny,

Welcome in the world of mail and courrier...

I understand you are impatient to get your watch. We all are.

Anyway, I buy quite often from Andrew now (I'm lucky that I stopped smoking, almost and decided to spent all my savings in watches) and can confirm that I receive my watches after 7 days, allways. I'm based in Brussels, Belgium. In fact, once he sends the mail with the tracking number, I know I will get the watch within 48 hours.

    Have fun,

    Cheers

  2. Mine arrived yesterday, and I just canned my full review as By-Tor's nails it.

The lack of AR coating on the outer surface of the crystal is one that can be easily argued around as I've heard off-board that the usual watchmaker solution for repairing damage to outer AR coating is to polish it off as it is a pain in the [censored] anyway!!!

A useful bit of reference material for these reviews would be to indicate how the bracelet is linked together for sizing purposes. The 'ultimate' is praisworthy in this respect as it returns to the use of pins-and-sleeves as per the genuine (previous generations used screws for some bizarre reason), making one of these essential...

Edit: Also worth mentioning that this is the first Omega rep ever to have an internally threaded crown tube as per the genuine. Some people have mistaken this as a stripped outer thread....

    Hello,

I just ordered mine from Andrew. I need the Pin remover now. Is a Pin remover from 0.8 mm ok ? Like the one you posted here ?

    Thanks

  3. Thanks for your interresting comments, and pictures :thumbsupsmileyanim: .

It make sence that one looks for a gen Zenith when they are movement lovers, but the price is gen too. :whistling:

Anyway, so far, for JLC, only Andrew and Josh seems to have some nice reps, but not really looking like a gen as some of their models doesn't even exist.

    Bye for now.

  4. Hello everybody,

I'm a new member and spent a lot of time thru the pages of this forum, but, sorry, did not read them all yet.

I have to mention that I am french speaking and it's hard for a frog to be clear in english!

Please note I'm not from France, but from Belgium though. We, Belgians, like to specify ;-)

I learned a lot about your world since 24 hours and I think I am almost part of it. I started to buy reps on eB 6 months ago and the first one was ridiculously bad.

Since then, I bought some much better watches from a guy based in Germany and recently from Andrew (Trusty).

I couldn't see anything consistant about JLC and Zenith here though (except WatchCity which site is great (thanks Officine Panerai) but reps are crap to my opinion as they do not even exist).

The "regular and classic" Reverso for example or the Zenith Square Port Royal Grande Date, are not available, anywhere.

I will try to put my watches on a site so you can see them but in the meantime I would really appreciate if some of you can tell me 1: why no high quality reps of JLC/Zenith are available 2: If yes, where are they ;-)

    Warmest regards from Belgium,

    Stephane
