  1. Thanks, I'll check it out and see what I can find!

I found a site that offers New Years trips, the rooms would just be 70$ a night in midtown manhattan at a pretty decent 2 star hotel right accross the basketball stadium and penn station, plus flight (which is around 500), but the trip is for 5days only and I wanna stay more than 5 days for sure!

  2. well the font is different, but the positioning is correct and yes it is the old 7750 - if it breaks down I will put a Swiss 7750 in :D

that sounds good. even though I dont like the way they did it on the (genuine) regatta (because it just doesnt look as it should look on a 10.000$ watch), I'm happy that the asian repmakers atleast got the rotor right :)

  3. Well, Sunday was fun. Unfortunately we all had lives to get on with and couldn't waste the evening away in good company. Anyhow, as promised, here are two photos. The first is the reprobates known as Usil, Pugwash and Ryyannon. The second is the Paneraifest that was our wrists. I turned up with my Rolex GMT, but had to change to conform to the Paneraicult that controlled the table. :D

    Damn, I need a haircut!

I think I got the same ducati shirt in black :D

And my hair also used to look like that, but ever since I got my hair cut by that freakish gothic girl, it looks.... well... different :bangin::lol:

  4. can anyone recommend something where I could stay for about 9-10days in NYC (preferably Manhattan, if not manhattan, no brooklyn or harlem please!) which costs less than 100$ a night during New Years (week before and after).

2 years ago I stayed at Hotel Pennsylvania in Midtown Manhattan. It was OK there, the room pretty much sucked, but the location was superb and the price was low (about 70$ a night). Afterall, I just needed a place to sleep, I was out all day anyway. But that wasnt around New Years, it was during spring.

  5. yea i agree with what your saying , but its a fun hobby for me :thumbsupsmileyanim:

& the only way your gonna get good at this type of work is by practiceing :) ..

i think the stem is the problem here ..

i know, and even though i f&$%ed up many watches, I cant leave my finger off the caseback-remover. In the end most of them turned out well, but it took me a lot of time and frustration!

especialy those DAMN case clamps... I'm the type of person that gets really angry if something wont work out after the first 5 trys and evertime I try to install those case clamps, I'm about to destroy something in my house, because it's just a pain in the [censored]!

  6. thats why you shouldnt mess with watches, everytime I did it, I had similar problems as you are describing now. Once one of the clamps got lose after some time and jammed the movement, once the crown wouldnt work properly anymore, once I got a little hair into a movement and hat to disassemble some parts, remove the hair, took me at least 15hours to complete the job...

I dont know what it is with watches, but for some reason they tend to have issues fairly easy, if you work on them and are not a watchgod!
