Been reading up on the Paul Neuman dials all day.

What eactly makes a dial "exotic"?

This may not be the best comparison since they are different dial colors but its a start..

First. forget the bezels.. one is steel the other is plastic..

The dials..

The PN dial is on the right..black with white subdials...

Things that are different on the dial..

1. The outer ring on the dial with tracking numbers. In the PN is red tracking numbers(but it could be black or white.)

2. Markers. They are a small square on the PN with small tritium dots.. In the regular dial, the markers are long.

3. Subdials.. The font in the PN is more art-deco and the markers are a square with a "stick" connected to it. In the regular dial, its just a dash..

4. The markings "SWISS" is usually below the six marker in the PN dial.

5. Lastly, there is no tritium dots at 12 in the PN dial..never..

My connection is supposedly 24Mbps, but I rarely peak close to 16-18Mbps.

i suppose you are a US resident? i always laughed my ass off, when i heared in those comercials "DSL, 2x faster than CABLE!!"

or when ppl said "yes, we are on a cable connections, thats way faster than DSL"

but i guess it's the fault of the commercials...

lets clear some things up, DSL can be faster than Cable, but Cable can be faster than DSL!

why? because your ISP sets the bandwith you can use.

for example my DSL connection has 6mbit Downstream and 512kbit Upstream, while our Cable provider only offers up to 2mbit down and 512kbit up.

but there are other cable providers who offer 6mbit downstream also. and there are DSL providers who only offer 1mbit DSL. even my DSL provider offers 1, 2, 3 and 6Mbit. end of this year, they told me, they have their new 50mbit DSL ready. cable companies told me they will have something similar available.

so you cant really say "DSL is faster" or "Cable is faster" - it all depends on the plan you have with your ISP

I tried bribing my gf w/ watches but she doesn't like automatics. She doesn't know how to set watches very well and doesn't wear them consistantly, or enough to keep them wound.

And of course I personally hate any watch that has to have a battery. So I gave up. I've bought her two watches, she wears neither . I just buy her other things!

but it looks great! i hope they make a Blancpain replica with that movement, because that would be a perfect rep (since blancpain uses a tourbi which looks exactly like that)

Even have to wear a watch during internationals and other sporting events, the trials of having to wear a HRM.

my pam111 broke after i played ball with a friend, after that, i never wore a mechanical watch while doing storts again. when you catch a baseball (which aparently comes at a high speed) with the your wristwatch-hand, it can really damage the movement!

and you can tell its gen by the little rolex crown-symbol @12 o'clock. seems they just cant get that right on the reps!

i'd never go out without a watch though! everytime i dont wear a watch (because i plan on doing sports) my friends will IMEDIATELY notice and say "HUH?? No watch today? are you sick?"

i catch myself looking at my cellphone to tell time even when i have a watch on my wrist

i was out a few days ago with some friends, of which one usualy wears expensive watches. i wore my sub and he asked me to pass him the watch and looked and it and tells me "is it fake?" i said "guess!" he said "yes it is"

i ask him what makes him think that, and he replplied

"the link after the endlink needs to be stiff!" i was like "wtf?" and asked him to pass me HIS watch. he obviously did NOT want to pass it to me, since he just showed it and i was like "cummon dude, pass it!" and he did pass it over, but didnt feel good about it!

his sub was like the worst i had seen. it was a newer model but had non-SEL endlinks, real crappy endlinks! the bezel looked like [censored], it was very hard to turn it, the priting on the dial was way off, it looked like silver printing, the holo on the back was the wrong one... typical example of a canal street rep! but i said nothing.

i mean, hes got tons of money, he drives an audi tt and has a huge fancy house and all... and pretends his cheap knock off fake is genuine

for all those for whom it doesnt work:

type in "about:config" and press enter (firefox) change the string "intl.accept_languages" to "en-us, en" (i changed it from "de-de, de, en-us, en" to that) and it will work just fine! all of a sudden you can buy all that nazi stuff
