  1. Cheers PM'd the lad and see what he comes back with
  2. When attempting to adjust my Swiss ETA SFSO the crown and complete stem(??) has become detached from the watch. Can anyone confirm if this is a simple fix, is it something any high street watch repairer could handle or does it require specialist attention? Obviously I would go nowhere near the AD's. Watch still appears to run ok however turning the crown no longer will adjust the hours, minute or date. Any help appreciated. Cheers
  3. Cheers, probably a bad time to contact them with Chinese New Year holidays. Whats the going rate for the Swiss these days? I got mine on a special from Silix around $230. If the gap has closed that much then I would go for the ETA again.
  4. Got a black Swiss ETA SFSO but always fancied a white face model to add to the collection. Not too worried about the lack of AR with the white face. Any pointers much appreciated.
  5. My original order for a SFSO Swiss ETA in the white face was stolen in transit with my wife signing for an empty bag. I contacted Jay with the full details and without hesitation he agreed to send a replacement however only the black face model was available. This was more than acceptable and due to his excellent back up I volountereed to pick up the cost of the second shipment (after all Jay was in no way to blame for the original problem). The watch arrived in the UK only 5 days after posting, an excellent response to a customer who encounters a problem. Having now used Angus & Jay I have nothing but absolute trust in both. Well worthy of their dealer status and the reputation it carries. On to the watch.... Whoaaa!!!! I have a BCE ultimate in graphite which was widely acclaimed on this site so I had an idea of the level of quality to expect. When I opened the package my instant reaction was this is even better. This really does deserve its reputation as a super rep. The AR on the saphire is unbelievable and the lume looks outstanding. To say I'm a happy man is an understatement. I am over the moon with both the purchase and the service I received. Again its a big thanks to all who advised on the watch over the months since its release, the dealers and the best way of resolving my service issue (thanks Victoria). Now onto the next watch... this is a highly contagious hobby I'm off to stare at my new watch now
  6. Communicated with Jay this morning and he has offered to send a Black SFSO as a replacement for the stolen in transit item. Great re-assurance from a dealer keen to look after his custom. Sets my mind right at rest. Delighted with his response. I will keep you posted.
  7. Seriously [censored] off as I received an empty bag today. Looks like its been stolen in transit hence the delays. I have emailed Jay with full photo evidence. I can see no way that Jay would be responsible however I still dont have a watch I paid for 3 weeks ago
  8. Jay has been in contact again today regards a replacement. No white dials as ordered available off the shelf so offered a black for immediate shipment which I promptly accepted. Was a very close decision between all three dial colours before ordering however as I have a BCE in Graphite I opted for the furthest contrasting colour in White. Not to worry the black will do just fine:-) Del
  9. What format was your tracking number to allow you to use UPS.com? Doesn't recognise EA########CN as supplied by Jay.
  10. Just had an email from Jay today offering to send a replacement on the understanding that if the original turns up I pay for both to which I agreed. I see no problem in moving on a second Swiss SFSO should the need arise. Thanks for your input guys
  11. Its now a full eleven days since the "Despatch From Sorting Centre" in Shanghai status appeared. Parcelforce UK still have no trace of it ever hitting the UK. I have absolutely no faith whatsoever left that this will arrive now. Can anyone offer any further advice please as I am getting very frustrated at almost two weeks of "nothing happening". At what point "should" a dealer do the right thing and send a replacement?
  12. Not a brilliant goal by any stretch of the imagination but very very clever. Rangers V Celtic May 2007 where Charlie Adam waiting to take a free kick spotted the Celtic keeper (aka the Holy Goalie) telling the defensive wall to jump. Charlie decided to play the free kick under the wall making the keeper look like a tw*t (again). Del
  13. I ordered a SFSO 13 days ago from Jay and to his credit it was posted within a day or so and tracking numbers were sent etc. Problem is the watch has not budged an inch since despatching Shanghai Sorting Centre on 16th October. I have been in regular contact with Jay and we are both on the lookout for any move. He has, as you would expect, offered to "sort out the problem" should it not arrive. The big question is when is it reasonable to say the parcel is missing, lets get the replacement shipped. 10 days stuck in the one location on EMS tracking to me says "this isn't gonna happen". I am now getting impatient and simply want to see the watch I paid for. I must stress this is completely out of Jays control with regards to delivery and I in no way hold him responsible for the delay, quite the opposite. Has the time come or should I give it longer? Any advice much appreciated. 14. At least yours has moved.... mine has been stuck at Despatch From Sorting Centre since the 16th Timing Site Status 2007-10-16 18:10:00 City of Shanghai Posting 2007-10-16 19:38:00 944 Despatch from Sorting Center 2007-10-16 22:02:12 SHANGHAI Arrival at Sorting Center 2007-10-16 23:40:06 SHANGHAI Despatch from Sorting Center I am sure Jay will sort this out in the very near future. 15. Still waiting for mine. A bit pi**ed off it has not budged from the depatch agent since last Tuesday according to EMS tracking. Should I be worried?? I would assume if it never makes it to the UK let alone to me then the dealer is liable to replace??
  16. Tried that but it is showing as left China on Tuesday at 23:00 but still never hit the UK as yet Should be here next week I hope.
  17. I was thinking along those lines too. Last time I am sure the status changed a few hours prior to me taking delivery. Thanks for your response.
  18. but its been stuck for three and a half days in transit. Tracking shows it leaving its country of origin on Tuesday just before midnight but it has never tracked as hitting the UK since. Cause for concern or should I sit it out a while longer before contacting Silix?
  19. $28 to the UK. Seems reasonable to me.
  20. Just ordered the White version to sit alongside my graphite BCE. Excellent deal.!!!
  21. I have found this one which may fit. Can anyone advise if this is the correct crown. THanks in advance. Tag Heuer Crown Tap 9x
  22. Can anyone confirm the size of the crown required for a Tag Heuer Classic 2000? The model number is WK1112 as per pictured below. Supplier cannot match by case number, only by crown size. Cheers Del
  23. Thanks Ben, looks like a winner. Email sent to confirm if part matches. Cheers
  24. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who can supply a replacement Tag Heuer Crown Model WK1112 2000 Classic. I am in the UK. Any help much appreciated. Thanks Del....
