  1. Anybody done the test and if so what results did they find? Cheers in advance. Del....
  2. Agree totally with the feedback to go for the Breitling Chronomat Evolution. I asked exactly the same questions about the Chrono Avenger, received the same feedback and eventually decided on the Chronomat Evolution. I went for the graphite with the additional leather strap from Angus. Absolutely delighted with my purchase and all thanks to these guys. Listen to their advice and you wont go far wrong. Del....
  3. Thanks Usil, Will try to pick some up today. Del....
  4. Whats the best kind of Loctite for the job. Simple superglue or are we talking a product designed for locking threads? Cheers Del....
  5. Not sure if there is a difference but it's the ultimate edition you want. By all accounts from the experts this is one of the best replicas ever produced. I have had one for two weeks now and I am over the moon with the value for money. Email Angus at Puretime and he will keep you right. Plenty of pics further down the forum of the Ultimate in all dial colours. Be sure to take up the offer of the additional leather band as this transforms the watch for different occasions. Del....
  6. See my post below. http://www.rwg.cc/members/Thanks-A-Million...ved-t20804.html I was in a similar position as what I would get for my money. Lets just say IMHO it is worth every last cent and more. Make sure you order an additional leather strap as this totaly transforms the watch for diffrent occassions.
  7. Brilliant pictures. Exactly the same configuration as my own BCE.
  8. Apologies but probably a very basic question from a newbie. I have a gen classic 2000 Tag where over time the crown has become more and more difficult to screw back in after adjusting time or date. Lately the crown will no longer pick up the thread and will not screw in. I am looking to offload the watch very shortly therefore not wanting to spend too much on a repair. Can anyone advise the likley problem and an idea of repair cost in the UK. Is it more likely to be the crown which is threaded or the part the crown screws into? Apologies any watch experience I have is exclusively on the outside of the case. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Derek
  9. Can anyone advise the spec of the tiny screws on the BCE stainless bracelet. I had one missing when I received the watch, no great deal as I was removing a link anyway so had a couple of spare screws. I noticed last night that the same screw was missing again so I changed the pin etc and added my last spare screw. I have made sure it is tight and shouldn't come loose however I am now worried I have no spares in case this is an ongoing issue. Angus can supply 6 spares but at a cost of $30 (3 extra links with screws). Cannot justify that kind of cash for 6 tiny screws therefore will check locally for availability if I can find out the spec. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Del....
  10. I'll second that. I also have a pretty poor rep (nothing within a million miles of the BCE) but not a chance in the world someone will miss these on your wrist. 47mm of stainless steel bling on a leather strap looks the part. Tried to offload it on ebay at the weekend and was met with a constant stream of "Is this a genuine BFB" questions from deluded bargain hunters. One unfortunately couldn't handle the fact it was not real and reported it to ebay admin who pulled the auction. The description said everything to indicate it was a rep. No box, no papers, cannot guarantee authenticity, please bid accordingly etc but still it was too challenging. But heh, rules are rules and the watch remains on my bedside cabinet Del....
  11. Any pics I have taken have been pretty poor, need a new camera (more ££££'s ). In any case there are plenty of very very good pics of the BCE from Angus on this forum which more than do justice to this timepiece. Put the black leather strap on the watch last night and I think it looks even better now. Don't get me wrong I love the stainless band but the leather adds that extra something. Not stopped staring at this watch since last Friday, absolutely delighted with it would be an understatement. Still working on the steelfish superocean over the coming weeks. Cheers once again. Del....
  12. Firstly thanks to the guys who pointed me towards the BCE when I as a complete newcomer had asked for advice on the Chrono Avenger models. Received mine yesterday afternoon. BCE with graphite dial and additional black leather strap. First off incredible speed as Angus only posted on Monday evening. I am absolutely delighted with the quality of this watch. Every single last detail of this watch is incredible and as far as I can see as near as perfect to the real thing. One thing for certain is this watch has the feel of a genuine expensive timepiece. I was very sceptical of what I would get for my £175. Having seen and worn a number of "poor fakes" over the years this was a gamble however the expectations, the expertise and the passion and drive for perfection of all concerned on this forum gave me a good vibe so I took the plunge. I checked out a number of you guys collections pics and read that you guys were excited at the prospect of the BCE launch and the great reviews from the first to receive the watch. In the end all of this made the decision very very easy. The gamble has certainly paid off big time and I have you guys (and Angus of course) to thank. Cyber beers all round on me. Thanks Del
  13. Similarly mine cleared customs last night. Hoped for delivery today but no luck.... still be here in time to bling it for the weekend. Angus posted on Monday and to arrive by Friday is excellent service IMHO. Roll on the morning Del....
  14. RBJ69, How did the BCE perform on your water test? Should I be taking mine off before swimming, showering etc or as I expect will it handle all "normal" waterproof activities? Thanks Del....
  15. I'm getting this bug bad, another watch I must have Is it better to buy now and tell the missus later???? As that old "Scottish" proverb says... "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission"
  16. Stunning watch. I have the very same model heading this way. Looks to be worth every last cent and more. Add to that Angus's wonderful customer you have the perfect deal. I for one will certainly be back for more. Del....
  17. I am desperate to get an order in for this watch however despite PM's and emails I am finding it very difficult to get hold of Angus. Can someone please confirm the method they used to place the order... was their a link via his photobucket site??? or simply an email directly to him? Thanks in advance. Del....
  18. B16a2, In the end that post made the whole decision a "no brainer". 1. There were 82 guys in "the know" showing intention to add this to their collection. 2. Angus's attention to detail struck me as outstanding and of a man who takes fantastic pride in what he supplies. 3. I took a look at some of the collections galleries of the people waiting for release of this masterpiece. These guys have a serious passion for perfection (or as close to) and I figured when they are getting excited about this beast then this was something very very special, so much so that I wanted a piece of the action. Still waiting for a reply to my mail from Angus. I just want to get the order placed and the wheels in motion to get this on my wrist. Always had a passion for a nice watch and own a couple of genuine Tag Heuer models however I have caught the bug. For the price I would have paid for my next Tag there are now 5 or 6 serious reps pencilled in now to be added to the collection. Next stop is a Carrera in S/S..... the a ....... Cheers Del
  19. Mind made up, it's the Chronomat Evolution from Angus, and permission granted by the better half. (surprisingly easy ) Awaiting response from Angus on availability and the only thing left to decide is graphite or white dial. Thanks again lads. Del....
  20. Thanks Delta for the info (and to all other who contributed). With all this assistance I am unsure if I solved one issue and opened up another half dozen Still it is very much appreciated and will come in very handy when decision time comes (very shortly) I am fast swinging towards the Chronomat from Angus. Whilst I can live with the stick markers as opposed to numerals the one single thing that puts me off is the domed glass. I fully assume as every last detail (including the domed glass) is covered on this rep therefore this will be exactly as per the genuine article. Gonna sleep on it tonight then if I still feel the same then I will begin to bend the wifes ear in the morning. Hopefully shouldn't take too long Thanks again lads and hope to add something to what is an excellent community over the coming weeks, months and years. Del....
  21. Thanks lads, info is much appreciated. Chronomat looks like it may well win the day. I like the version with the hour numbers as opposed to sticks. One last question .... who's the main man to buy this beast from? I'm off to start searching the dealers but any pointers in the right direction would once again be much appreciated. A cyber beer to each and every one of you. Cheers Del
  22. Chronomat also looks the biz..... started looking at Josh's Super Avenger in S/S... Anyone confirm if this is a fantasy model? Choices, choices ... I'm like a kid in a sweet shop here
  23. I am in the market for a Breitling Chrono Avenger, S/S with a black dial. I am currently looking at 2 options:- Sashwatch at $253 delivered to the UK http://www.rwg.cc/members/Sash-Brietling-C...ger-t15331.html and Joshua at $298 (delivered I think) http://watchwindersworld.com/bl10062-chron...800-p-1972.html Any advice on the best option between both above or is there an option with another dealer option I should be looking at. Thanks in advance. Del....
