  1. To my knowledge, there are no accurate moonwatch replicas out for sale now. And i think the hand at 6 moves on the ones out, but you can mod it yourself to stop it somehow.. and there is a lot of other flaws on the reps. Personally, i fell in love with the moonwatch, so after recieving my first railmaster rep, i ordered a gen 3573.50 Clearing customs as we speak!
  2. I´am also new, and would not have bought that watch. But why would he put up so many hi-res pics from all angels if its a rep? Seems risky I have not compared the model to gens or other reps of this model, but the pearl seems very off yes, and also happy feet on the logo. Don´t know if this is right/wrong for this model, but my understanding was that applied logos should not have happy feet? Also the watch looks really beat up and and scratchy. Seller has excellent feedback though.. maybe it is just a very beat up gen? Interested to hear what the experts say
  3. I have wondered a bit about this. I see in your situation, he probably can complain to the factory and get a new one. But for instance, i understand that at least some TD´s replace your order if it get´s confiscated by customs. I guess that is a loss the TD will have to take?
  4. Feel sorry for you, and it is noted about PC.. I certainly hope that it is reflection that mess up the O in the OMEGA, but the reflection does not create happy feet..
  5. I´am also a noob, but i think i have got the understanding about the "happy feet" The happy feet is when the "toes" on the feet of the O-logo points upwards. On dials with printet logo, there should be happy feet, but when the logo is a metal insert as on the PO, the feet shold be straigt and not pointy. correct me if i´m wrong.
  6. I agree, but looks like both the 6 and the 9 marker is a bit crooked, but it may be the angle as you say. Otherwise it is great looking!
  7. I agree with you that it is not the same version. Can you recommend a place to shop for a better looking gator strap? Or even genuine Omega? On the other hand, it keeps great time. 6-7seconds fast over the last 24 hours. That is good enough for me
  8. Here´s QC pics from the one i ordered from Tony (link above) in January 2013. Does not look exactly as the same watch, but I think it is nice.
  9. Thank you! Also I´am a locomtive engineer, so I really had to have one I dont have a precise instrument, but i measure the case diameter to be 40mm, same as it says on Tonys site.
  10. Hi! Just got my Railmaster from Tony! I have tried to take some pictures, but man that was a pain in the a** without a macro lens! The numbers does not look as thin as Stephanes one, or am i fooled? http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/69219-omega-railmaster-392-mm-pictorial-and-review/ The strap unfortunally feels stiff and sharp, feels like a major tell i my opinion, but I´m no expert. Clasp looks good, but not sure about the if O-logo is correct, didnt get av picture of it.. The gold movement looks good, but i guess thats a major tell for the in-the-know And finally Overall, this is my first rep, and I am satisfied. The strap doesnt feel that good, but i guess that can be changed to another if i want. Also not totally sure about the crown/tube. It makes noise and is difficult to screw in/out. A bit afraid to break it. Also sorry about the large pictures, but i did my best
  11. Just for info to the repliers here, i changed my nickname for privacy reasons. Still the same guy. OP.
  12. Just got qc pics from Tony, and it has thinner numerals than the watcheden, but not sure that it is as thin as the beauty Stephane posted. Gold movement with Omega and 2500 stamped on it i think. Back says Constellation, Co-axial and i think Escapement. Looks also like it got the omega globe on the back, and also two other small engravings. I get a brown gator strap, not sure of the quality of it, but it looks ok. Since it is my first rep and i look forward to it, i accepted and hope i will be satisfied. Will post pics when i get it
  13. Thanks for the warnings cougar1. I have asked for QC pics, so hopefully it´s the old version. I guess I can refuse the deal if i´m not satisfied with the pics? Or maybe change to another watch. I really want THAT version. PreciousTime just got back to me saying i can get the watch with a black leather strap, the brown is sold out. I guess that means it´s not the 2006 version either. Was a lot cheaper too infact. I cross my fingers that Tony will come through, will let you know.
  14. I mailed tony at the email in the pic, and he said yesterday that they could supply it. Maybe i just have to go for it Read something about shipping from asia to europe could be problematic, i live in Norway, should i be worried about shipping and customs?
  15. Thanks for the reply. The one from Tony OM033. This was my first choice, but started to worry about the swiss movement, wondering if an asian clone will last longer for me. The one at PT, no pricetag, also swiss ETA The one from WE, some asian movement. And also looks that it lacks the blueish-AR? Or is it just lighting. Also this one has the closed back with the locomotive. IMO the first to looks much better, but i can be fooled. Hope it´s ok to use those pics in the forum? If not, let me know!
  16. Hi! I´m new to this, but have been browsing the forums and dealers for a while. I have fallen in love with the Railmaster and going for it. Some dealers says 39mm and some 40mm, is this the same casing? Also starting to think about the movement. Have read that the swiss ETA may not be the way to go, but also have read that even if it says swiss ETA, it might be a asian clone? (and a better choice than an old/worn swiss with asian repair-parts) I also want the brown leather or crop strap, really liked the pictures of Stephanes watch in by-tors guide. I see that Tony is not a trusted dealer, but he appears to have it with swiss eta. Is this for sure not an asian clone? Precious Time also have it, but no price listed. I have also looked at watcheden with a asian automatic, not sure wich movement though. The one from watcheden is of course cheaper, but is this all down to the ETA/asian movement? Will the dial, sapphire and casing be almost identical? This particular one also have the closed back with the locomotive, something i fancy and also hides the movement. Also, i am allowed to put direct links to this watches here in my post? Any help and thoughts are welcomed. Thank you
  17. Hi to all! I have been browsing the forum for some time, and have learned lots about the rep world, but a big noob for sure. I have decided on a watch I want, and now its all about finding the best dealer with the watch and strap i want Naturally I cant contribute that much in the start, but i hope to get the hang of things over time. Lots to learn! Cheers!
