  1. Even though being a big fan of the (classic) Safari, the Panda certainly is one of the best looking AP ROOs ever. And yes, if you want to have the "real thing" you indeed need the moddings, especially the case thinning is of utmost importancy to get it feel right. Good luck!
  2. That would be an option indeed, however I like the gator strap much better - and as I now have the perfect solution for me I'm pretty happy with it.
  3. Even better: You can even use the rep logo plate on the BOB deployant. Just perfect!
  4. Update: I got me the aftermarket deployants from BOB, and they are indeed even better than the OEM ones. Perfectly satisfied now.
  5. The quartz Speedys with two subdials and microstepper would probably be a good choice to start with. Since they don't have a small sec no one will even notice it's a quartz, and no subdial issue too.
  6. Not the best rep in terms of accuracy, however one of the best looking ones IMO.
  7. No problem, this is permanently mixed up, I personally prefer deployant too - however this time I decided to use "deployment".
  8. Automatic, pretty decent dress watches indeed. Sure, pin buckle would be an alternative, especially since the rep crap strap has to be replaced anyway. Just that I usually prefer deployments for... well, comfort. Most other brands are able to build sufficient deployments though (B&M, TAG, Omega, IWC...) so obviously no magic dust needed.
  9. My first Breitlings ever, two Transoceans just arrived, and even though I wanted to see them IRL to decide which one I should keep I now love them both so they are keepers all together. Well, at least for the time being... But, and this is a big but (with one t, guys... ), the deployment is a real PITA. WTF did they think to make that piece of metal (see pic) on the inside so that it always is supposed to hurt by design? I'd just love if anyone would have a solution. Any and all ideas are welcome and very well appreciated.
  10. Without any doubt one of the most comprehensive reviews ever.
  11. So did I, just arrived. Unfortunately the rotor does not work properly so it already went to the watch smith.
  12. Great work, thanks! Mine, howeve, was DOA - rotor stuck. Looking forward to meeting the watch smith once again.
  13. Yes, after watching some close-up videos I consider ZF as the best in terms of accuracy.
