  1. I have a ROO sec@12 that has died. Vac has it on the operating table. Anyone know where I can find a replacement movement for it? Tried searching every way possible on here and keep coming up without results.
  2. Good luck to all! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  3. MD unfortunately the original crown is no where to be found. Its a piece I bought father. When he brought the watch back to me the crown was already gone. I would like to try and replace the crown but may end up just ordering him a new piece. He has been eyeballing my AP for quite some time now.
  4. Im looking for someone to work on an ultimate sub from Andrew. The crown came off of the stem. I ordered another crown and tube but it would not fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer someone who is CONUS, unfortunately none of my local shops are rep friendly.
  5. I have a two tone black sub I bought from Andrew. Love the timepiece but the crown came off leaving the stem in the movement. I ordered a replacement crown unfortunately the tube didn't fit and the crown did not fit on the old tube. It is the ultimate supreme edition black ceramic on the trusty site. Any help would be appreciated. I am willing to send it out to have it fixed if someone can refer me I am southeast CONUS. Thanks

  7. Indeed Mike. I need to get some pics up of them. Having to invest in a tool here and there, but I'm still enjoying it. I doubt I'll ever be a repairman for other people, but as long as I can tinker with mine I'm happy.
  8. I started on the forum with the intent on grabbing a couple of watches and just wearing them. I slowly realized that I was intrigued by what really makes them "tick". I've bought a few from Andrew and then a few economies from Silix, as my first "victims". Any way away from my senseless babbling, this forum has been the information source for my dabbling. I can say I haven't bricked any of my movements or had to send them off for repair. Thankfully you guys are here, because Southeast Georgia doesn't have any rep friendly dealers.
  9. I placed my second order today after looking for a ladies DJust. I found quite a few cheapies on Silix's site that I just couldn't pass up. I bought a WBK DJust from another member of RWG and think it is a decent daily. I'm hoping the ones from Silix are at least the same quality or even a bit better. Purchase list included 1 Super Cheap Blue Sub (35 bucks) 1 Ladies DJust 1 DD 1 DJust
  10. Just gave the green light on my QCs! Man they look awesome. Now I can sit back and wait
  11. Anticipation is killing me! Lol. I can't wait to get my QC pics from Andrew! Patience is not my strong suit.
  12. I read this and nodded my head at every detail. I thought I was reading about myself! iCoop I'm sorry to hear about your ride, I would have went ballistic. I park all of my cars the same way even my daily driver. They should have been courteous enough to leave you their info, but they probably didn't even have any which also sucks! I hope everything works out for you.
  13. Thanks whoever! It took me 6 years and lots of blood sweat and tears to get it done.
  14. Hahaha Mike!!! I knew that one was coming! I'm with ASCII, we are all looking for quality reps. My advice is look at all the reviews for dealers and timepieces.
  15. Mike I'm glad it worked out for both of you! You're right that Pam is a nice looking piece!
  16. Thanks Mike! Legend I died laughing after Nanuq's post about my new tag! Well played Nanuq. I just hope the noobs don't flock to me for any answers, all I can do is refer them to the search bar LMAO!!! Relax I'm near the Savannah area, how about you?
  17. HAHAHA can't argue that Nanuq!
  18. I've got a pair of babies that fill my garage. First is my trailer queen matching numbers 1964 Impala SS. Second is my "Sunday" car a 2011 Chrysler 300C. My daily driver is a beater in the form of a D21 Nissan.
  19. I voted other. I own quite a few different brands, but as much as I hate to admit it the most expensive 2 pairs are my favorite. They are 2005 Evisu Genes stitched diacocks. They are probably the best feeling and fitting jeans I have ever bought. I don't care too much for the stitching that runs across the rear and down the legs anymore, however in my closet they will hang forever. I also liked my RMC jeans, but like everything else in fashion they lost their mainstream effect. They also just hang in the closet lol.
  20. Thanks for the kind words! I am by no means a noob master, I just saw how some of the less intelligent questions were answered. I really didn't want to be that guy. I am very pleased that I found this forum before I fell into one of the scam sites. The TD list is awesome, reviews good and bad alike. I was also glad to see most of the unhappy reviews came to some sort of resolution, which says a lot about the dealer. @MD2020 I think Firehouse Subs is the best, I personally like the pastrami, but I've read many good things about your work
  21. I haven't posted many threads on here because I didn't want to be a complete NOOB, so I just read and read until my eyes hurt. I want to say kudos to all of the people who posted the many reviews and photo reviews of the reps that have been acquired, they helped me through the start of this journey. So now I have officially placed my first rep order with a dealer today! Andrew at Trusty was my pick. I think I went a bit overboard on my first order, but I figured what the hell. Payment was confirmed today, now I'm awaiting QC and shipping! The big piece was a Navy AP ROO @12. The AP was the reason I found this forum so I definitely wanted to get it first! I also ordered a black ceramic Sub and a black Deep Sea both with 2813 movements. (Everyone should have at least one or two crowns in their collection) So a huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to the forum! Now I get to wait patiently on my order to arrive
  22. Nice write up! I'm going to Rat Shack tomorrow to grab some parts! As the days tick by I can see this becoming an expensive hobby for me.
  23. MD thanks for the reply. Is it not worth the money to just buy the "better" movement, I know I couldn't perform an overhaul myself atm? I will however be diving into these projects as I become more comfortable with the movements and pieces. Also, does anyone have a suggestion on a place to buy tools?
  24. Good early morning forum! Three days of reading through these forums and through the reviews of dealers has become quite the job, so I decided to post when I felt I had gotten my feet a bit wet. I am new to the rep timepiece world, being introduced recently by a friend who gifted me a Franck Muller Crazy Hours. Unfortunately I need 5 posts to show her off. After reading countless reviews and different discussions, I have set my sights on a couple of pieces from Angus at Puretime. I am looking for a dress watch and a show stopper, here are the two I have tentatively picked out 1. AP Diver V3.5 Noob Best with swiss movement and both the rubber and S/S bracelet 2. Day/Date ll Ice Blue S/S with asian clone movement modded to 3156 look Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
