Holy balls. That's a lot of moving pieces
-
you could build a 16800 or a 168000
-
Im doing a project for another member and he sent me a TC bracelet and clasp for a LV Sub, not sure what V it is but heres the pics.
Damn, that clasp is legit.
Looks better than most gens I've seen
-
do you have any pictures of the 1680 white dial?
mark I, II or III?
-
Cost from ... where?
When I look on VRF, the 702's are quite expensive.

I appreciate the assurance of seniors members here on the board.
More eyes on it, the better.
Thank you all for your feedback.
Fingers crossed that it will install on my phong 1680 case.

I just picked these up and I think they are 7mm crowns for subs but I'm not sure.
I need some verification on them.
1. Gen or Rep?
2. 703? 702?
3. Are they period correct for a 1680?
Thanks Everyone

Love your attention to detail.
Amazing work.
Contact me first if you ever decide to let it go.

OOps you're right Alligoat.
Corrected my post, thanks. -
Ha! You are probably right. I had two other 1680 service dials that simply had Rolex (once) on the back with a coronet. I assumed that these were later dials since they matched my 16610 dial back marking. So is it safe to say this may be an early Rolex made dial?
I would date your dial as Late 90's service dial made by Rolex, as it is Luminova
My Dial is the same as yours ("L" far left of the crown, Blatant Open 6) BUT my Service Dial was made by Beyeler for Rolex - Circa 1978 (Tritium and does NOT glow)
-
I love it
Beyeler Service Dial, Service Hands and Service Insert.
Nice Glow.. Vintage but Practical
There was much controversy over this supposed "Mark IV" Dial over at TRF
-
fantasy dial.
-
Looks like a mark III gen dial.Hi, nothing special to tell. its gen dial bought time ago on vrf.
L slightly left of the crown
Closed 6
D extending past the E in SCOC
Beautiful canary patina
Matching hands
Service insert
Silver DW

I've been looking for a gen alternative to a 7206. The C&I versions are at least a couple hundred cheaper, but it's still $600+
Anyone have an good rep Rivet bracelet for sale?

Welcome to the knowledge vault!
Oh, and there is no way out of here BTW.. There, I've said it - consider yourself warned..
I see.... by your avatar
lol
Welcome! Would love to see pictures of your gens - excellent choices
just my gens?
In due time I will slowly start posting pics.

Wow I can't wait to see the finished product.
A very expensive project I foresee.Phong Case, Gen Dial?
-
The case looks good.. might want to thin out the CG's a bit to give it that worn/polished look.
The Crown is ... bad. first thing I would replace.
The bezel and the Fat Font insert/pearl looks good.
The dial is... meh. Second thing I would replace.
Great Build Overall though !!

May I ask what bracelet and clasp you are using?
I'm assuming a TC V3 Bracelet for the SEL fitment.
Gen or TC Clasp? -
Thank you for the tutorial.
Very informative with step by step pictures. -
Absolutely Amazing.
You just saved yourself 4kAlso that Mark I dial matches perfectly with the shaved Rehaut.
Now all you need is a flat 4 insert to be 100% period.
