Artificiall faded
I Actually like it . Good Job

I found through experience and looking at many different inserts, that for the most part, Naturally faded inserts still retain their original luster and the fading is uniform and even.
Artificially faded inserts are for the most part, dull, lacking in luster and have splotchy or uneven fading (fading in the inner most or outermost)
I'm sure there are people out there who are really really good at fading inserts that can even trick the experts.

There's some talk about printing pads wearing out and thus resulting in fatter fonts and fonts running into each other:

wow Thanks everyone.
CC33 anywhere on the web where there is a definitive answer on this topic?I seem to be getting different answers from different people
also I see these inserts posted for sale on the rolexforum and VRF with all sorts of Mark 1,2,3 and they don't consistently look the same.
Plus people call mid-fonts .. fat fonts etc.

I like it
can you explain the parts for the build?
Is that a Yuki Insert with a Yuki Pearl?
What hands?What Dial?
Thanks

my mom said "If you don't have anything nice to say, keep your mouth shut"
So I'm going to keep my mouth shut.

You are right, this is one of the best 5514 I have seen so far. I have just bought this nice gen 5513 MK3 insert for my 5514 build. Hope mine will end up just as nice.
On topic, I started my hunt for a vintage Rolex with a nicely modded (and not so expensive) cartel 5513 (modded by Dutchguy), sold it a while ago, but still miss it.
Wow Nice Fat Font MK3 insert.
let me know if you grow tired of it and plan on selling it.

genuine omega SMP though I would say on the high side bearing all the marks and no box and papers
I think you can get better shaped ones for $1300
+1

awesome, can't wait to see it and all the parts that went into this beauty.

Nice and clean. I like it.

I'm still using that $15 press from Harbor Freight. I install the bezel first and then press on the insert.
Really?
Is this it ?

Looks good, personally I would wait for a matte dial.
Just my personal preference.
Cheers

Hi All,
Would anyone know where I could purchase a black Rubber B strap for a Rolex Explorer I, 39mm.
I would need a cheap one, 2nd hand or replica etc. as I don't have a lot of cash spare at present.
Thank you,
GC

wowzas.. that midnight blue is nice
I like everything about it except for the crown

this happened to me too. I would get 90% but the 10% gave me trouble.
I took it to my watchmaker and he pressed it with some contraption and charged me $10.Done.

Fitch you killing me.
I keep coming back to your 5513.
Absolutely Gorgeous !!

I recently purchased a TC Clasp from a member but it did not come with a spring bar for the divers extension.
I've tried other spring bars I have but the holes on the TC V3 Clasp is too big and they just fall through the hole in the clasp.Anyone know where I might be able to buy a spring bar for my divers extension?
Thanks
Looks like this:

The sweeping second hand is rep. Gens taper to a tip at the end.
The minute and hour hands look like hands for a 1680/5513 cal 1570
