  1. Gentlemen, I am modding 5513 cartel case, want to get a tube from CousinsUK, however, they offer two types of 700 tubes, one is short the other long, which one is appropriate for 5513 given that I will install a gen, or athaya crown on this case. Thanks in advance. PS. I am in the EU so it is more convenient to get it from the UK, hence, my first choice is cousins. Link: https://www.cousinsuk.com/product/rolex-generic-case-pendant-tubes
  2. Thanks Boomoo, I found a link on the other blog.

  5. Is there a way to know if the cannon pinion is not high just by looking at the image? If it is not do you then need an additional part and a watchsmith? thanks.
  6. Gentlemen, Which high beat ETA movement can be used for no date 5513 dial in a Yuki case. ? I know slow beat is more appropriate, but say I like the ticking of a high beat which reference would I search for on ebay. ETA2824 / 36 have all date wheals, when these are used on a no-date dials (like 5513) is there any modification done to them or you simply take out the dwo and install? Thank you for your replies.
  7. Thanks for the information! Looks like it is all about the case here. However a good dial is also hard to come by. I started at the wrong end with the dial . however I think that the Whoopy dial deserves a nice case its really nice so given your info I will make my choice and let you guys now the result. There are vintage builds like Paul Newman Daytona that is not only about the case, but also the dial and the movement which is difficult to source, so you are so right about getting the facts and the wants straighten out before diving into these builds.
  8. Yes, it seems that is exactly the case., there is also MBW but it looks too fat., the originals are thinner. I guess Yuki or Phong., but I am in EU so need trans-shipment through the UK. so much trouble :))) I got a cartel case from Josh but it is simply no good, especially if you have a good dial. What do you think?
  9. Gentlemen, Got a nice Whoopy Comex dial no date., need a good case for a franken build. Please point to the right direction. Was looking at cartel cases, too fat, too tall, valve escape unreal. where do I get a good one? Please help. Appreciate the advise.

  12. no it does not pressure fit. need to use a glue. I am using a glass glue. what glue should I use ?
  13. Greetings Gentlemen, Could someone give me a tip on how to install a crystal and ovoid a distortion caused by friction or in my case glue. Which glue to use ? or should I just leave it to someone who has the right press, glue and skill ? Thank you.
  14. Yes! thank you. the dial i have posted has the coronet way to low. but i guess i just need to try )
  15. WCM your coronets where not attached to the dial with leg sticks? if I move it high where i want it to be then there will bi a hole under the coronet. how do you ovoid that?
  16. wow beautiful. tell me details please. and how did you age the dial like that? it look gorgeous.
  17. thank you freddy, so it is possible to lift the old coronet and slightly move it up to cover the lower hole, right?
  18. I think this suggests that it has been clipped to the dial, but it could be both clipped and glued I guess. Need to know if someone has any experience with this.
  19. you are right, it may seem this way. but I cannot edit the title anymore as far as I can see
  20. Gentlemen, Has anyone attempted to move or replace the coronet on a vintage daytona dial? Could this be done without dial damage ?
