Also a great link that covers this and most of the 1680 build. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/134065-How-to-vintage-your-Rolex-(Part-II)?highlight=1680+movement+options

Yuki does not currently have a selection of 1680 ETA Dials, by this I mean dials that fit ETA movement ( I am not that oblivious in this maybe it is just a language thing. Thats is why I was searching for a workaround options in adopting a Yuki rolex caliber dial to ETA movement. I did some research and stumbled across a nice link: http://www.homageforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=1419 Anyhow, thank you for your help, I now have a solution I found a great 1680 dial with ETA fitment from a fellow member and I have most of what I need to upgrade my PT1680 Rolie with gen ETA 2846 low beat.

yes M, Thanks to the forum members all parts are already sourced and the project is complete as far as the parts go. I think that is the point of any forum, exchange of knowledge. Thanks to all.

Dear all, I am building a red sub 1680, currently running on slow beat ETA 2824. Was thinking about Yuki dial but on his website it says that it will ONLY take 1570 movement. Does this mean i can place it on my ETA movement at all ? please help me out here. In comparison, Ingod dials do not mention the movement type at all. Thank you. azbank

hi guys, what is your experience in shipping watch parts from Asia to EU, US to EU ? please share your experiences and tips. I was thinking that watch parts shouldn't be a problem, small items like hands set for a watch, case back, cases, etc. but people have been telling me that even that could be a problem at the customs. I wonder then what kind of a problem, I once had a shipment from the US to Austria of the projector for presentations, quite a big box, bought somewhere online. The I got a letter from the customs office that the shipment was stopped. Went there, showed the bill, paid a tax, took my box home. What are your experiences with watches and parts? thanks

Over time I have accumulated some watches that do not get any wrist time. But I kinda never sell ) I only sold one watch once IWC GST Chrono Titanium to fund the slevin Aquatimer, but I do regret it, even though that one also wouldn't get any wrist time now. I went from not liking Rolexes at all, to only having and using my Rolexes, and every time I see a sub on someone's wrist catching light, I realise just how beautiful this watch looks. I plan to only keep my IWC Portuguese IW500107 which makes me uplifted every time I look at it. Going forward I want to build vintage daytonas 6263 both black and silver panda for complete happiness. ) thats why I am often here, gathering the intel. So what do you think?
-
Thats what I thought, but from " prdubis " I understood that it is somehow more difficult build with v72

So 7750 needs to be converted/modified to 7753 and auto modified to hand wind which I suppose is easier than using V72?
-
thank you. Isn't the DW case for 7750 different from V72 ? as the case for 7750 needs to have a different, taller case back ?
-
Could you tell me more about 775X option please. I would be happy with 775X movement also. I thought V72 is easier to install. So you mean taking an automatic 775X movement and changing it to a hand wind or standing it as automatic - in which case I need a taller case to house the automatic movement? My guess is that 775X are easier to source than V72. Could you let me know which 775? will do the job? thanks

I also read watchguy.... post about building some. however the post dates back a while and nothing followed. I will write him. The best is to find one in sales area but these are rare to find on sale. where can I source a DW case?

Dear Members, It is for a long time now I am looking to get a vintage daytona 6239 silver panda, or 6263 black. I am not happy about the stock dealer options due to their inaccuracy, so I have only one option of getting one built for me. Do you know anyone here who builds the improved version of these by order? perhaps you can point me in the right direction. I know it depends on how much I want to spend and how far I want to go with the gen parts swiss movement etc. but even if I gather all the parts I still need someone to put it all together, so I am thinking maybe there is someone who offers - builds a better version to which I can add on more options? Another big thing is I am located in the EU so sending and receiving parts/watches from outside of the EU is a an issue with the customs. Perhaps someone within the EU offers what I need. Many thanks in advance.

Well, isnt there someone doing the same in Europe ?
-
Please do post your DSSD of course i wonna see. Is he in Europe because sending my watch outside of EU is a problem. Big one actually. I wouldnt get it back cause of customs.

Thanks Indy, whats PB treatment?
-
Thats on the vintage 1680 plexy crystals.
-
Problem with TD: is it the latest BP Seadweller?
azbank replied to prdubis's topic in The Rolex Area
As per genuine it should be gray. -
As per genuine, the crystal is not raised from the bezel.
