V, I love your posts primarily because of the great pics, and the fact that you are a lefty fan. but not sure you are right on this one. First for us Panerai nuts that are Lefties as well there a a limited number of Destro Panerai models that were made, 11 total counting vintage, pre-vendome, and richemont. Then there are the addition models, two handed especially Radiomirs that can be reworked, Gen or Rep to be turned into a Destro (turn the movement 180 degrees, etc.) But after only fantasy models are left. In one sense this would be a rep as much as a custom. not quite like the 75 chronopassion lefty submersibles, but some collectors would enjoy having a unique piece, that even paneristi's wouldn't have! The Arktos and North Pole would be one of my favorite Panerai's but for one problem, they are not Destro. Even so they have been calling my name and luring me in. So a Fantasy Destro Arktos has been on my project list for some time. The missing piece to the puzzle is a Destro Arktos dial. Minimum orders of custom dials seem to be around 500 pieces, which even at a great price adds up. Now if 100 people were interested in getting this fantasy watch we could probably bring it in at a reasonable cost. So I am trying to guage exactly how much interest there would be in this. If you would be interested, post your interest and any comments here. Hmmmm, maybe if we go to the end of the list and work our way backwards, TRUE Lefty way of doing it! LOL So then here is the latest and greatest Destro from Panerai Gen 239 Rep 239 Next in line would be the Grandaddy of all Destro's, the 217 based on the first and original Destro 6152-1 I'll let others post pics of rep 217s and we'll see which one's look best. Besides all the other little subtle differances/flaws we pick out between gens and reps notice the markings on the back of the Gen 217. Besides color and positioning normally pointed out, notice that on the 217 as opposed to the 127 that Officine Panerai is right...errr correct side up for the Destro.

Balboa, out of curiosity where did you get your info? My info backed up by no less than D. Zei author of "The Panerai of Florence" says that of the 889 5218-201/As produced "1(one)" was indeed made Destro/left handed!
