  1. Oh Yeah?
  2. Ok for the religious posts, but hands off the Rage Boy!
  3. Soylent Green, for a truly peaceful world... Goes great with your favorite sauces and condiments! MMMMmmmmmmmmm!
  4. Step 4 - Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourself
  5. Good man. Do you also do troublings of goldfish, hovers of trout, smacks of jellyfish or laps of cod? And what's your stand on arrays of eels?
  6. Better yet, either refuse to sell to non-supporting members, or at the very least, always give preference to a supporting member.
  7. I wonder how many of these people are Supporting Members as opposed to the those who use this forum opportunistically, looking for a cheap watch-fix without ever giving anything back to permit the board's continued existence... What I'm suggesting here is the hypothesis of a direct correlation between support of the forum and half-assed purchasing behavoir. Not in every case, of course, but a correlation just the same. Not a charitable thought, but then again, and despite the oft-repeated fact that the forum administration maintains that members are free to upgrade or not, RWG was never intended to be a soup kitchen for those who simply see it as a form of personal entitlement. That said, I fully understand that there has always been a small minority of people who for a number of valid reasons cannot contribute financially to the forum.* Many of these people do participate one way or another - as evidenced by some of the contributors and bidders at the POTR auctions. That a certain percentage of members simply can't or won't upgrade is perfectly acceptable and understandable. As are the people who take months to decide that RWG offers so much that it's normal to want to help support it its expensive system of offshore servers and bandwidth requirements. But when you see more or less the same handful of people (less than 10% of the membership) literally making it possible for a vast majority of others to enjoy this place - year after year after year - the reality of the situation ends up staring you in the face and it becomes difficult to ignore. *I respect their choices because they are choices, often justified by tight financial situations - rather than a systematic and reflexive default mode of non-support. 8. Sure fooled me: I was just about to order one. Thanks for the heads-up!
  9. Another and highly original approach to the problem; highly ecological as well! http://www.collideascope.com/rkq/spring-su...96/recipes.html
  10. Bore them to death.
  11. This hilarious goobledegook is apparently a real presentation, even if no one (except Nanuq, perhaps) can understand it.
  12. Pugwash said long pig
  13. I'll second that! By an extension of the membership upgrade matching fund offer! The cost of any new one-year membership over the weekend will be matched and sent to our friend. It's the chance for those who haven't yet contributed to do so, while helping both the RWG forum and POTR. I'm hoping to see some of our members take advantage of this offer over the Easter weekend....
  14. Someone also suggested sending checks (for U.S. members). I'm not certain about the advisibility of International Money Orders - if Rob had to convert euros into dollars, for instance, he'd be at the mercy of whatever exchange rate his local bank was offering - and it's all arbitrary: they get to set whatever rate they want. If the euros were already converted into dollars by the person sending an IMO to Rob, all he'd have to do is cash it (or more likely, deposit it) at his bank. Unfortunately, I don't know if it's possible to purchase an IMO in dollar denominations in the EU. A bank-to-bank wire transfer is another possibility, on the condition that the sender has the account info of the receiver.... Once again, I advise waiting until the payment options are fully worked out and posted by either Rob or the forum moderators.
  15. Guys, I think the problem is being worked on - or will be shortly - by the Mods and POTR himself. Give them the time to work out a viable solution: the money won't evaporate in the interval. At the moment, it would appear that PayPal is not a good choice: too many unknowns and pitfalls - plus someone reported not being able to fund the account due to a limit being set by PP. WU often costs up to 20 percent of the amount sent, depending on how greedy they are, and will also require endless trips to the WU office for POTR before being busted on suspicion of money-laundering or drug dealing. Let the mods and POTR work it all out: the solution is definitely out there and will be announced in due time.
  16. Vicky, See my PM and email to you and please advise...
  17. I think we need to be very careful about flooding his PP account with payments.... And POTR should be aware of the danger of PP's often catastrophic reactions when an account suddenly fills up with funds from all kinds of sources and for all kinds of 'reasons'. This is an issue that needs to be worked out with Rob. PayPal: Be Afraid, Very Afraid.
  18. I think that 'loewenheart' is actually the indomptable TTK picking a fight with himself. And now, back to our scheduled broadcast....
  19. The quick answer would be to place a winning bid on the PAM 183 Radiomir Black Seal - Brand New in the POTR Auction section: it's a handsome, classic Panerai at a great price and for a great cause. An excellent way to acquire a great watch which is as close as they come to a genuine...
  20. Bodyguard tryouts:
  21. Eat me.
  22. A look on the bright side: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=...mp;pageId=59402 It would be great if it turns out to be true!
  23. And as usual, they got their behinds kicked by Les Boches. After which they just as mercilessly kicked each other's behinds during the uprising of La Commune. Gotta love the French.
