Use something close to 200 to 280 grit sandpaper and just go over the edges. It's easy. I use the black wet or dry automotive type.
Okay, sounds simple enough. I'll give it ago. Many thanks for the reply.

I've just taken delivery of my new Sub from Andrew. Whilst it's very nice, the bracelet feels a little 'sharp'. The edges/sides of each link feel like they need to sanded VERY lightly to make them more comfortable, heck, if I tried I bet I could shave with it at the moment! Any advise?

Does Ginger Beer count? Alcoholic ones of course! If so, then Crabbies, a lovely fiery alcoholic ginger beer. mmmmm, if the sun was over the yard arm I'd have one now.

I started collecting gens, but found that I'd have to move into a cardboard box to be able to afford them (here we go again) so decided to start on reps....... to go along with camera gear, cars and their assorted bits, mountain and road bikes, surf boards, fine wines (well fine enough to drink anyway) and a beer belly. The last one I'm looking to trade, so if anyone has a Speedmaster they'd trade for my keg let me know.

Andrew shipped a watch to me via EMS. I heard nothing for about 5 days. I asked Andrew for an update and he directed me to the EMS website along with my tracking number. By the time I checked it had been showing 'in customs' in China for 5 days. The next day (6th day) it was delivered to my address in the UK. Be patient, it will most likely just suddenly arrive.
-
.... bingo!!!! It's been delivered! Typically the tracking was behind the times. Looks good so far, quite pleased with it for the money. I'll post some pics when I finally get my watches together in the same place as my 50D with a macro lens.
One question, do rep bracelets feel poor compared to the watch case. Mine looks okay, and I mean okay whilst the watch looks quite impressive?

Its can be a while before you see Tracking on EMS.... Andrew et al have a bunch of tracking numbers pre- assigned and use ... if he said soon it more likely means I dont know your specific watch as I deal with many ...but dont worry it will be soon..
My guess is ..its been notified for collection by EMS ...they will collect evry few days...then once they do you can wait upto 4-5 days to see an update or recognition
The truth is ..We all experience at some time or another a very slow order/shipping process..... generally its not that long but it does happen and the longer you are in thsi game the more chance you will experience it..
However you seem to have hit that chance before most others...
Dont worry mate.... Its on its way and if there is a problem then Andrew will resolve it...
Now please once it arrives here...and is in customs dont post another thread Just be patient... it can take many many days
I have learnt not to even ask for or even check tracking with an order from my dealer
Thanks for the wise words.
I wasn't unduly worried as he's well respected on this forum. Ill see what happens.
Oh and customs. ..........

Andrew. I used him before and it went smooth as clockwork.

Thanks AJ, I'll ask again.

Good day folks,
I'm still quite new here so please bear with me. I ordered a rep from a TD and received the QC pictures. So I approved it and asked it to be shipped. Then, nothing....... It's been over a week since I received the QC pictures and I've asked (only once) when it will be shipped only to be told 'soon' and given a shipping number which currently isn't recognised. The question is how long does it usually take from giving the ok, to getting shipping information which you can track. I can't see the hold up as it's been approved and they have my address details in the QC pictures! Any advice guys?

Has anyone else bought one of these yet, as I'd like to see people's thoughts before pressing the 'go' button.
-
Hmm I'm waiting too, so lets see what happens.

Yes please. I'll take one in white!

just for a quick reference, heres my gen smp quartz that I modded myself...it has a crystal from a planet ocean, bezel ring from a planet ocean and the original smp insert...
had to use the po bezel to avoid the lip between bezel and crystal, however on the new smp-c, the bezel and ceramic insert are a lot taller than the older smp, so im hoping the crystal will be a straight swap height wise.
check out the no crystal effect...even from relatively straight on...
you can see here the longer hands compared to the older model, so should look fine on the smp-c
and a final wrist shot...
That is one of the nicest looking watches I've ever seen. Well done Sir!

Fantastic, I'd love to do something similar. I daren't though, as she who must be obeyed would kill me.
-
Is he right or left handed as I expect he's winding his watches plenty!

Joined up recently too as I've had in interest in watches for 30 odd years. I have a few original Omega's but, as I can't afford all I want, I thought I'd try my luck with some replicas.
The forums seem a wealth of good advice so I'm looking forward to purchasing some nice products soon with the help and advice of you guys.
First question: I know Andrew is a trusted seller on here, but after a Google search I find many Trusty Time web sites, which is the 'correct' one? Is it ttw888
Thanks in advance for your advise

Blimey, you change your watch more often then I change my pants. (Well almost) I'm impressed and I guess that's half the fun of reps and the rep community.
