Yes, I've been in contact with the dealer and I'm confident that the problem will be resolved. Otherwise, I'd have mentioned his/her name here and complained. I'm probably the world's most impatient person so after 3 weeks of listening for the delivery van I'm getting a bit

Mine was despatched 28 days ago by EMS from China. I'm in UK. No watch.

fitmic is right. As long as you choose a rep with a good quality movement, get it serviced and waterproofed and tell the person you're giving it to it is a rep but explain that it's a quality watch in it's own right, I don't see any problem. I would also get the gift box as well; it makes the whole thing more special than giving the watch in a bag of bubble wrap.

Hi all, Andrew at TTwristwatch has this based on the lemania hand wind movement: I've found some gen IWC watches by googling the name but they are all differnet from this one. Is it a fantasy or just an inaccurate rep? I think it's a beauty so It may be going on the ever-lengthening want list

No Usil, it's not just you. I agree it's too much and should be around 250.00USD. If it wasn't for the price, I'd have bought the white face version by now but instead I'm saving my money for the IWC Cousteau when it comes out. I guess the Chopard will come down in price once the initial enthusiam has died down.

Hello, I'm looking for suggestions for a watch with a nautical theme or background as a present for a good friend who currently sports one of those horrible quartz things with a digital readout. His main pastime is sailing, hence the nautical theme and the need for waterproofing. My budget will only stretch to $150-$175 including waterproofing ($50) but I don' want a quartz so I'm thinking it will be an Asian 25j movement. Does anyone have any suggestions/experiences which could help me out? My initial thought was a seamaster from Josh with the 21j movement. Thanks in advance M

Hi everyone, I'm close to buying my next rep which will probably be this: I'm thinking of replacing the bracelet (don't like bracelets) with this: which is waterproof shark skin and comes in this lovely blue and with a 20mm lug fitting. Firstly, am I correct in thinking that the 20mm is the right size for this watch? Secondly, what do you guys reckon on how it will look? and finally, should I go for a deployment clasp or not? Apparently, you could buy a similar sharksin strap with the watch direct from Omega so It's pretty authentic.

Hello all, After exhaustive research into the Seamaster 300M and consideration of the Planet Ocean, I thought it was just a decision between the chrono or non-chrono version of this: But then on the silixprime site I find this: described as a seamaster 44.5mm with blue face and blue bezel but as far as can see, without the wavy bits on the face, with the asian 7750 for $150USD (

Hi, I'm thinking of getting the SMP chrono as my 3rd rep and replacing the bracelet with a black leather strap. Does anyone have a picture of this, so I can asses how it will look. Thanks

Allmans - Fillmore East. Probably the greatest live album ever. Elvis - On Stage 1970. The greatest live performer at his peak Stephen Stills - Live. Awesome playing electric & acoustic guitar CSNY - 4 Way Street. Four huge talents all pulling together (for once!) Dead Can Dance - Toward The Within. Out of this world. Neil Young - Unplugged. Re-invents his back catalogue with stunning results Joni Mitchell - Miles Of Aisles. The greatest musician/songwriter of the 20th century Joni Mitchell - Shadows & Light. See above.

Hi, Has Josh moved his website address? His old address (http://watchwindersworld.com/) is coming up with a "This Account Has Been Suspended". Been trying all day with no luck. Anyone have any info? Thanks

You young guys need to listen to some real music. If you're talking live recordings, try Allman Brothers Band Live At The Fillmore East (1969). Never been bettered.

Hi everyone, I've just ordered my second rep, a Daytona 2001 model with the 7750 valjoux and seconds @ 6 from one of the dealers recommended by many on here for the excellence of his service. I'm aware of the potential pitfalls with this movement in this rep but I've bought it anyway because I like the watch so much. My question is, what level of aftersales service should I expect if it stops running or runs eratically and what period of time should I expect this service to cover? Obviously, if it's not working when I get it, I can expect a replacement but what about 2 months down the road or 6 or 12? As I'm new to this, I'd appreciate some advice on what is reasonable to expect. Thanks in advance montydog

Hi peeps, This may be a dumb question but here goes. Is it possible to replace the bracelet on any Rolex with a strap? If so, can someone point me to a good source of suitable straps. Many thanks (frustrated Rolex loving, bracelet hating guy)

Hi Guys, I really love this watch: But, I hate bracelets. Is it possible to swap this for a leather strap and if so, where could I buy one as I understand that the fittings on the IWC are unique. Thanks in advance for any advice Alan

Hi Tekidonc, Yes it's the strap that came with the watch. Nice quality thick leather with the maker's name stamped on the inside. -

Yes, I would prefer the model with the silver hands but I can't find a dealer who supplies it with a strap. I don't like bracelets and would not buy a watch with one. Thanks for the input.
