Its terrible admin. It's probably because the post office wont take a loss like that if it does get lost? Im very sorry once again! Floris -
Please, Too much, really. This fund started by Edge, then Ubi with a beautiful watch, Nanuq with a beautiful watch, then Ken with an insane offer. I thank you very much, but this is too much. Please keep it, even if you dont want it, use it for a possible future...'problem'! Like I said, its the thought that counts and it means tons!! All the best, Floris

Thanks my friend. I was EXTREMELY lucky and VERY VERY VERY fortunate thanks to you guys. The thing about protecting ourselves? No idea...truly. It was meant as a 'warning' thread to all but just became a 'making up for it' thread by you guys!! THANKKKKKKS!! On a seperate note: The thing is, poverty is big here, but reading what thomasng and cwai wrote, stuff gets stolen everywhere. If you use reguular Air Mail, it may be safer as the packages are less likely to draw attention generally speaking (no labels necessary of whats inside). However, you'll never know where it is....no tracking usually. If you go to UPS, FedEx, DHL, TNT, etc....well you know. Customs, theft, etc....but theres tracking to know whats going on. Honestly, I dont know... Floris -
Thanks buddy!! Dude......wow! Thanks a lot my friend!! By the way, I was watching PRIMAL FEAR, you know it?? I just got it in the mail today...I thought of you with all those jurors in a court! Talk about coincidence! For all those that dont know the movie, see it, see it now! Twists, suspense, its amazing! Thanks guys!! Floris

Wow. Those watches are amazing. I must say, with SOOOO many members with those unique vintage models, you get jealous fast. Very hot and show real design, excellence, style, power, all in one! Amazing guys, wear them well! Floris

Thanks for your words Ethan. However, two things I'd like to add on: First: The painting is something I dont want to be praised for. Its something I enjoy doing, I have a whole week off and a friend of mine brought me into it before. This time around I was helping my friends finish some things off showing them how to help out, I dont want credit for it! I just hope to do actual work in the future, we'll see, exams are in the way! Second: As many know by now...I have numerously contacted Ken as well as many members as to convince Ken to not give me this SENTIMENTAL watch. Its something he should keep and like I said, even him pondering the thought of helping me out like that is too much! Your support (everyone) is amazing BUT I must ask there to be limits to your generosity! Indeed, its difficult to go through the feeling of being stolen from, but this makes me feel worse, as its taking something from someone who values it INCREDIABLY. Thanks so much for everyone's support. Floris UPDATE: KEN HAS LISTENED TO REASON.... AND INSISTED ON STILL PROVIDING ME WITH A BEAUTIFUL 'SURPISE' WATCH, BUT ONE WITHIN REASON I HOPE!! (I HOPE HES BEING HONEST ON THAT!!) THANKS KEN!!! All the best to everyone else and those who helped Ken get back his reason All the best, Floris

Dude....those prices..... -
Hundreds of millions each day. Ebay even has a "report spoof" AND "verify spoof" to stop them. The verify is when you forward the message to them and they reply within the hour whether its a spoof. Floris

Crazy. Question. If you go over the boarder and you bought lets say 3 gen Rolexes from Europe and you're going to the states, wouldnt it be smart to take the boxes and papers and send them via mail and then put the bought watches in a travel pouch? It would look like you just have your personal collection with you. THATS allowed isnt it? I saw in a movie (dont remember which, but it was before 2003, true) that a guy had a gen daytona s/s , gen submariner and some patek watch with him in a case over the boarders. Yes, it was a movie, and yes before 2003, but just wondering. Is that allowed? -
WOW, thanks Tribal!!! As said before as I will keep saying, I wont forget this, this is something VERY VERY special, VERY. Thanks again, Floris

Thanks so much Ethan! Although I cannot see who has been so extra generous to even donate, I am trying to personally PM every person and answer all good wishes I can. I've gotten literally over 100 PM's, 5 offers, 3 threads, and hundreds of posts. Thanks again guys! Floris

Well Bres, it wasnt as much the money, even though that is a rough patch and an obstacle to me, but its the feeling. Whether it would have been a gen or not, its the feeling it gives of someone taking what belongs to you. thanks for your support. Floris -
Ubi, its a watch I couldnt wear, I'd be afraid I would damage it. The difference is that your watch Ubi as you stated it was lying at the bottom of a pile for spare parts, and you have been so very generous as to fix it up and even gone out of your way even more to make it look amazing. However, that said, Ken's watch is a sentimental item, something thats his and should remain so. To me it would be a great looking watch from a great guy, but it would not carry the same sentiment it carries for Ken, I hope its understandable, I just feel it NEEDS and MUST stay with Ken. This is not out of pride but out of moral, Ken, you need to keep this watch. Just imagine if it WERE to get lost in the mail or break at some point, it would be terrible, even worse than if it were to happen to a gift I get from you Ubi, for it carries such memories. The thought is more than what I could have hoped for Ken! Thanks, Floris
