DSN responded saying I can send it back or get it repaired locally. I guess I'll take it to my guy in Singapore and have him take a look.
So much for the new Swiss E movement
My DSN Fiddy with Swiss E had some problems so sent it back to him. He replaced the movement and I got back the Fiddy yesterday.
Noticed that the movement stops @ around 12.20 mark. When I move the hands a bit....it starts working and then stops again when it's 12.20.
Any idea on what could be the problem....and are such problems common with new Swiss E movements? I am still debating whether to send this back to DSN yet again or if its something simple....get it fixed locally.
Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Was talking to Joshua about something else just now and he mentioned that he has already forwarded the info to you.
Anyway...his english name is Joshua Andrew King and Chinese name is WHO HE
I have to say Josh is the best.
As mentioned above, the watch that I got has some issues and am sending it back today for an exchange. Would you believe it???....the replacement watch is already in the mail and I have a tracking no. for that (including some parts also that I had requested for)......amazing stuff.
Got the UN delivered to me this morning. Looks great. Will take some pics in the evening and post them.
Quick observations:
# The bracelet seems to be very well replicated....though needs to be oiled once as it is rather stiff.
# The bracelet has an excellent finish to the brushed and polished links.
# The Ulysse Nardin engraving on the clasp is as good as I have seen on a lot of gens.
# The dial seems to be creamish/white but looks good. The different shades of blue on the bezel/dial/hands look very good.
My particular watch has some issues so will be going back to Josh for a replacement (the pearl is sort of tilted and there are some markings on the backside of the watch that I can't seem to get rid of).
Overall....the bracelet gives the watch quite gen-like feeling and the watch feels substantial on the wrist.
More when I upload the pics
I have been buying from Joshua for years now and never once has he let me down. Let's face it....there will be problems....whether you do QC or not. Even fully serviced movements can break down...there are umpteen small parts and all it takes it an unlucky bump to displace/break something.
Joshua is the best man to have on your side when the s.hit hits the ceiling. I got a watch delivered this morning that has some issues. Wrote a mail to Joshua and will send some pics to him later on. And will have a new one with me by next week....no fuss.
Am so [censored] off....the jokers @ SingPost.....status showed that the package is with delivery courier @ 2.00 pm....package never arrived and status @ 6.00 pm was Failed Delivery. Guess the courier decided to take some time off.....will get the watch in hand Monday morning now. Grrrrrrrr
Unfrigginbelievable.......the watch was shipped Wednesday night from GZ and has already reached Singapore. Hopefully should get delivered to me in a couple of hours. Talk about speed.....thanks Josh. Am really hoping the watch is nice ....esp. the dial.
Will post pics as soon as I get it.
