My question concerns the movement as shown in Joshua's picture attached to my opening thread. This movement looks similar to the one in your upper picture. Your lower picture is an ETA 2824-2 or 2836-2 and not subject of this question. Hope this clears the confusion a bit. I understand The Zigmeister will not be able to examine the beast because not receiving the expected specimen. Am I right?

Thanks in advance The Zigmeister.

So this is a picture of the so called "Asian ETA 2813" as presently offered in some Steelfish (Breitling) models. Any idea how good (or bad?) it is as compared to the ETA 2824-2?

This is the version Rolex should copy.

Me also.

After regulation , mine is running now very stable at an average +0.5 sec a day. None of my Eta's 2836 or 2824 can be made so accurate.

Hey Guys Does Any One Know How To Properly .
Rikske replied to 2005SUBMARINER's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
Have this same movement in my PAM090 Power reserve. Regulated it but it is very difficult to dose the amount of movement of the regulating arm. It is more trial and error till you get it ok. The etachron with its fineregulator screw on the otherhand is a joy to regulate. Good luck , i think i opened my watch a dozen times before it was running quite accurately now. -
Review Of Two-tone Breitling Navitimer Asian 7750

Am curious to see a picture of your white faced TT Navi on the wrist. I hesitate between the black and the white. Thanks for any input to help me decide. -

3-6-9 Subdial Arrangement Vs 6-9-12 On As7750
Rikske replied to watchman12345's topic in Movement Q&A
3 extra gears if runninng sec. stay at 9.(Navitimers) 11 extra gears if running sec. are relocated at 6.(Daytonas) Read The Zigmeister's extensive revieuws fore details. -
Here a better picture of the blue handed gen as found on timezone.com
-
The color of the subdialhands on the pre2003 6-9-12 models is dark blueish on all variants (inclusive TT)except on the full gold models where it is gold also. Here is a gen TT :

Or this one?

Nice watch but hrs numbers font is slightly incorrect also. I therefore would prefer the hrs stick markers version. Still better in my opinion is the TT 6-9-12 subdials version : no mods to 7750 mov (no extra 3 gears). correct datewheel depth. I also prefer the leather strap io the (too) shiny bracelet.

Which Asian 7750 Dial Config Is Most Desirable
Rikske replied to bklm1234's topic in General Discussion
The 6-9-12 (running seconds at 9) is best because this is the original 7750 layout (no mods required). The 3-6-9 with running seconds at 9 requires 3 additional gears to move the minutes subdial to the 3 position and results in the datewheel sitting too deep. The 3-6-9 with running seconds at 6 requires 11 additional gears to move the minutes subdial to the 3 and the running seconds subdial to the 6 position. Here also the datewheel sits too low and power and durability problems are to be expected. For details please see The Zigmeister' s reviews. Greatings : Rikske -
Andrew advertises his BSW0018A (TT Navi ) as "new asia 7750 28800 "bph. Therefore I think his 7750b1 is somthing else. Perhaps Andrew would be so kind to clarify one and the other for everyone here. Thanks.
-
Somewhere The Zigmeister wrote that he has serviced dozens of so called 7750 , 7750b and 7750b1 and that he could not notice obvious (quality) differences between these movements . Therefor the definition and differences between these type of movements remain a mistery. Different dealers apparently do not use the same definition either. The only clear description for the better new movement to me sounds : "asia 7750 28800 bph" like Joshua advertises it. It would be great if someone could explain the difference between 7750 , 7750b and 7750b1.

LE stands for "leather" and means the watch is delivered with a leather strap. No LE is a Navitimer type bracelet. If you look attetively to the pictures you will notice this difference.
-
Look at this , it needs no further explanation I think.

Thanks , Bignasty , very informative post.

This is a Navitimer picture taken from the Breitling Chronolog catalogue. I do recognize recessed and pie pan shaped subdials.

A Eta 2836 Regulating Question ..
Rikske replied to 2005SUBMARINER's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
One minute a week is 8.6 sec a day and the Etachron fine regulator of an ETA 2836 will handle such a correction without problem. Start with 1.5 notches towards the minus sign. The picture of Rolexman is not from an 2836 and has no Etachron regulator. I would say : give it a try and keep us informed. Here is a picture of the 2836 , good luck. -
