This is a thing of beauty S. The dial and hands really look like they were made for each other; creating a near exact match in patina.
This must bring you a tremendous sense of accomplishment. Wear it in good health.
They are called lug screws. I striped out a lug once and had a friend re-tap the lug so that I was able to use the screw again.
Alternatively, you could use a spring bar, with a mock screw head, in place of the lug screw.
While visiting my family over Thanksgiving, I went snooping in a sock drawer in my brothers guest room. I found a watch, SEIKO DIVER H558-5009 that I had purchased back in 1983. I had totally forgotten about this watch, that some years later, I had given to my brother.
It is not running but I really like it; possibly a daily beater in the making.
What do you think I should do?
Any mods?
