  1. The RWG VOC poll is officially closed. I am emailing Jay and taking the white dial unless somebody stops me. Thanks for everyone
  2. @lanikai I think it best to let the auction take its course as is. I agree with TT when he suggested that you start your own auction once mine is finished. I don't mean any disrespect and I applaud you for your generous offer. Vlydog I say .. why not add this strap to the current auction and make it more than one strap that is being auctioned .. and I will add to the gator by adding the Kevlar for IWC 3717- 125/85 brand new never worn... I leave it to Vlydog and Double T ... Vlydogs Show .. I'm just adding to the inventory what say the "House"

  4. All hail Vbarrett! Come on someone bid $111.00 Look at the end time and date; it is meant to be.
  5. Although lanikai's offer of the new strap continuing the auction was generous, and a great idea, I feel the auction should continue as originally planned. The current bid is $70.00 Ok community members, show me your fervor.
  6. I would be happy to accept lanikai but, I did set the auction start and end time and I think these should be honored. If one of our Moderators or Admin could come in on this with their OK, than I think we have a deal. A generous offer on your part too and a big thank you once again! vlydog
  7. We have $70.00 from some where in the Pacific. Thank you lanikai! Do I hear 80?
  8. Sixty is the bid from our beantown friend, do I hear $70.00?
  9. That's $50.00 from Mademoiselle Strap, due I here $60.00? Thank you Victoria for getting the ball rolling!
  10. Greetings ladies and gentlemen: I listed this strap earlier today but since then have decided to offer this beauty up for auction and donate the money to my home away from home, RWG. I am grateful to have found this place and have met so many generous people and have made many friends. This is just a small token of my appreciation. The strap will be sold to the highest bidder. The auction will begin the moment this post goes live and will finish precisely at 11:11 PM eastern time US on Sunday November the 11th; (11-11-07). The highest bidder will then transfer the funds, via paypal, to the RWG account. RWG will notify me when the money is received and I will ship out the strap. Up for auction is a custom made HKTan pilot strap in his antique brown buffalo leather. Brand new/never mounted 21mm/18mm 145mm/60mm Matching stitch Brushed ss rivets I know there are many happy 3717 owners who would really enjoy this watch and strap combination and at the same time know the proceeds are helping fund something will all love. 11. The horse and mule live thirty years And never knows of wines and beers. The goat and sheep at twenty die Without a taste of scotch or rye. The cow drinks water by the ton And at eighteen is mostly done. The dog at fifteen cashes in Without the aid of rum or gin. The modest, sober, bone-dry hen Lays eggs for noggs and dies at ten. But sinful, ginful, rum-soaked men Survive three-score years and ten. And some of us...though mighty few Stay pickled 'til we're ninety-two. Best to you as you celebrate the anniversary of your birth!
  12. @ LordRasta: You say your bracelet fits without any adjustment. What size is your wrist?
  13. And then I would be looking for a new place to live!
  14. This might be the day I send my money to Jay. Please cast your votes while keeping in mind accuracy, versatility and style.
  15. Hey kruzer, Thanks for your input and coming at this with a brand new angle. The accuracy issue may be the deciding factor. I appreciate your help.
  16. Thank you Victoria. I know the creator of the watch and his family very well. The watch was a gift.
  17. @ vbarrett: you comment was one that I have not considered in my decision. I am fair skinned but I love the white dial on the only Gen I own. (Torre Automatic) check it out here. http://www.tanagro.com/flash_en.html go to time piece. @ brep: probably going to be wearing this at work with a suit but I like the possibility of mixing it up with my casual wardrobe.
  18. Definitely going with the double AR version. @ Pix: loved your white dialed VCO in your collection post. That was what started this pursuit for me. @ richard tracy: thank you. all of my current reps, 2 PAMs, 1 IWC and a rolli sub all have black dials. @LordRasta: you are right. many members with black faced pieces, who have had their crystal double AR'd, have commented on how it makes the dial really pop! Also this will probably be a dressy watch for me so point taken about the white dial.
  19. I'm going to order this one in the near future. Please help me decide which dial color looks best. Thank you!
  20. I checked out the VCO last night on the Silix Prime web-site. He has a double AR version and the date window appears beveled. I was told that they have the exclusive on the double AR right now. Looks great!
  21. With Pix's advice I might make the VCO my next rep. Speaking to the members who own this watch and to the experienced members who are more familiar with this gen, I need your help. What modifications have you done or what mods are considered necessary for this model? Re-lume, double AR? This seems to be my usual method of operation; making a list of possible mods before I even have the watch. Thank you, Vlydog
  22. This is a beautiful photographed and unique collection of watches Pix. You have inspired me to take a closer look at this one for my next acquisition. Vacheron Constantin Overseas Movement : Swiss ETA 2834-2
  23. Love the white hands and the Riva! Great look.
